Best news I've heard in a while. I've been hearing the rumors for a while but hadn't gotten my hopes up. I'm so glad this is happening.

I'm not going to get my hopes up till I see either A) a trailer, B) a release date, or C) cover art.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice. Can't wait to see what they come up with for a feature length project storyline.

This just made my day. I really hope it's true, or else I'll have to start poking people in the eye with my fing-longer.

As long as all of the original cast and creative team return, there is no chance this will be bad.

Just tell me whose feet I'll be kissing for making this happen.

Short of news that Spider-Man is a real person, it's gonna be hard for anything at Comic Con to top this news.

While I have a hard time imagining a storyline lasting 90 minutes I have a great deal of confidence in this as long as the same creative team is handling it.

Check it out!

July 15, 2005 - In the first of IGN's exclusive Video Blogs direct from San Diego's Comic-Con International, voice actor Billy West (Fry, Zoidberg, the Professor, and many more voices for many more shows) revealed to us that a brand-new direct-to-video Futurama movie has been greenlit. Not only that, but there is also an option for a second movie as well.

With the model established by Family Guy's return – where a direct-to-video movie eventually spawned the show's return to Fox primetime as well – could the much-missed Futurama also be on the way back to a set near you?
Gosh, joy oh joy!

Fox can bite their shiny metal asses.

I just released Futurama on my wife's 13-year-old niece, after getting her addicted to Family Guy at the beginning of the summer. Her follow-up question was, "So, what day and time does this one come on?" She was sorely disappointed to know that it's not a series anymore, but I told her she can catch the re-runs on Adult Swim. News of a movie is better than Slurm!

our latest information from David X. Cohen is that the movie(s) have NOT been greenlit yet.
Shit.

This is great news. Hopefully if we make this a best selling DVD it could bring back the show to TV.
