What the hell were they thinking?

This shit is just warming the shelves in a great big blue pile at my local Wal-Mart.

The Thing action figure actually looks pretty cool, but come on, did anyone actually ask for this stuff? The Batman Begins toys aren't selling either. The worst part is, the stopped stocking Star Wars toys (which were selling great BTW) to put up this junk. Just pathetic. I mean WTF man?

edit to say: The Batman Begins "Tumbler" toy is cool as hell and once it hits the bargan bin I shall have one.

Seems to be the only F4 figure that would really sell is Jessica Alba, but for all the wrong reasons.

By the by, the Batman Begins toys are crap. Takes me back to the days of the first 4 films where they made on Batman that looked normal, then 10 with shitty camo like "Street Batman" or "Aqua Batman". Man, those were lame as shit, and some of the new figures fall right into those old tried and true categories. The Scarecrow figure sucks ass too. For shame.

I'll admit that I grabbed the one basic Batman figure from BATMAN BEGINS and I think it is pretty cool. But yeah, the problem with those are all the stupid variations that have nothing to do with the movie. Of course they're trying to attract kids so a Tom Wilkinson figure may not go over too well with grade schoolers. I remember back in '89 they made 3 figures from that film. There was Batman, the Joker, and Bob the Goon. That was it.

Those FANTASTIC FOUR figures looks pretty weak, even by a kid's standard. On a side note has anyone seen the "Marvel Super Showdown" figures? I grabbed the Punisher one, and while not perfect (face is too evil), it's a nice idea to have Marvel figures at about the same size as the 3.75" "G.I. Joe" ones.

I managed to snag one of the Marval "Blade" figure a while back. I keep meaning to grab a "Punisher" as well.

I rmember having a Batman that had a grapling gun, that was fun.......

But Batman toys usually suck and I laughg at the notion that they wanted to sell more toys by making Batman Forever/B&R more flashy cause those oys are lame, ultra lame.
