Dammit, I thought this was gonna be an announcement of a next-gen (or current-gen) revival of the Wing Commander franchise.

I think that fucking movie killed any chance of a WC comeback...

just taking a quick glance at it, looks like a rip off of EVE Online. I played the old Wing Commander games, they were great... shame I don't have them anymore.

maybe an EVOLUTION but not a rip off. I've played both. very different.. however this 'reinvision' is very similiar to EVE, thus, rip off.

Anyone else playing this? I just made a few runs from Achilles to Helen, trading iron and food between them, and bought a jump drive once I passed 10k. Just did a cargo mission that took me from Troy to XXN-1927, but that didn't net me that much cash.

I'd love to move straight into bounty hunting and pirating, but my ship still sucks. Has anyone progressed any further than this, or am I the only idiot having fun with a twelve year old game?

I've beaten the game when it came out. I'd try your hand at a few of the bounty hunting missions, if I remember correctly the first few aren't that hard to beat.
