Just wondering if anyone here dug Shut Up You Fucking Baby! or It's Not Funny

He has a DVD coming out on Sub Pop soon and he recently bought a comedy lounge/bar space
on the Lower East Side. That would be a fun weekend trip. I think he's the funniest part of
Arrested Development too - the guy's got a lot of shit going on....

I've been looking for dates in case he's touring but havent found any-any help would be appreciated.

Both of his albums are worth picking up if you're a fan. They're not all that laugh-out-loud funny, but the man tells a good story, and if you share a lot of his views then it's a good album to have on in the background.

His DVD on Sub-Pop is ok - it's not his stand-up, though. It's behind the scenes from a recent tour. Again, not laugh-out-loud crap your pants funny, but interesting enough if you're a fan, and well worth a watch.

For my money, Patton Oswalt is the funniest comedian working these days - check his album out for sure. Saw him and Brian Posehn at the UCB theater last night on a live talk show, and they were fucking hilarious. Plus, seeing Comedians of Comedy tonight, which should be a blast.

Oh, and word on the street is that the club deal fell through, but don't quote me on that.

Cross is one of those comedians who is funny even if you don't agree with everything he says. For all the great work he has done as a stand up or on his own shows the first thing that comes to mind when I think of him is "Chicken pot, chicken pot, chicken pot pie!" I think I only saw 3 episodes of "Just Shoot Me" but I'm sure glad that was one of them.

"Hell, make a couple'a new holes, and fuck them!"

"They're freedom haters."

Those sayings are in my daily lexicon, they're so fuckin great.

That's a good point. Cross is just a funny person. I went and saw him do two nights of old material before his London tour, but even seeing the same jokes was a good time, because he could read the phone book and make me laugh.

Patton Oswalt is kind of the same way, but whereas Cross just tells a lot of random stories, Oswalt's jokes are a lot more rehearsed, probably because he does a lot more standup.

I really dug his HBO special about 5 or 6 years ago, but haven't really heard any of his comedy since.

I got to meet him and Bob Odenkirk while on the set as an extra on Run Ronnie Run. They were very friendly considering I bumped into them whilst they were on the way to the bathroom.

I really enjoy Cross in his supporting roles in film (the morgue attendant in Men in Black comes to mind) and am really digging his brand of humor on Arrested Development as Tobias.

"If Gabriel wants to rollerblade to Chelsea Piers, Gabriel's going to rollerblade to Chelsea Piers! So screw you, Mr. Osama bin Jerkface--or whatever your name is."

Yeah, Shut Up You Fucking Baby is great.

Is this the line to get the beer, or the line to get the tickets to get the beer?

I dunno, faggot.

Haven't seen Run Ronnie Run or his other stuff, but I love Mr. Show and find it to be one of the funniest fucking sketch shows ever.
