Many people are probably aware of archive.org and all of the high quality copyright free movie files available for download there. But for those who don't know about it, here's a good chunk of what you should be looking for on that site.

White Zombie - 1932 - Bela Lugosi is the zombie master!
The Phantom Ship - 1936, this was a very old Hammer Film production which includes Bela Lugosi.
The Wasp Woman - 1960, Directed by Roger Corman.
Night Of The Living Dead - 1968 - no words needed other than, you need to download this if you don't already have it!
The Golem - 1920 - a classic silent film with a weird looking frankensteinesque monster.
The Cabinet Of Dr Caligari - 1920 - another classic silent film. Great example of German Expressionism.
The Vampire Bat 1933 - This is worth downloading for the great character Dwight Frye plays as, best known as the hunchback servent in the original Frankenstein. He acts as a mentally handicapped but sly and demented individual. The scenes with him shaking his head and saying ..."no....no!" is hillarious!!
Carnival Of Souls - 1962 - An amazing example of surrealistic horror atmosphere!
The Giant Gila Monster -1959 - From the director of "The Killer Shrews". This film is incredibly cheesy. As you can imagine from the title, the monster is a large lizard. Great if you're a fan of MST3K.
The Terror - 1963 - Directed by Roger Corman and starring Boris Karloff!
The Mad Monster - 1942 - Great older horror flick. Mad scientist and insane monster dudes galore!
Dementia - 1955 - Psychological horror.
SCIENCE FICTION FLICKS
The Brain That Wouldn't Die - 1962 - Yes this is the movie with the woman's head on a cafeteria tray.
Killers From Space - 1954 - This movie is insane! The evil aliens have ping pong balls for eyes!
The Phantom Planet - 1961 - Great older sci fi flick. Astronaut goes to weird planet, shrinks in the alien atmosphere and must battle really ugly alien monsters to get home.
Radar Men From The Moon - Episodes 1-12 - Very old black and white serial show of vintage sci fi shenanigans.
Flash Gordon Conquers The Universe - Episodes 1-12 More old sci fi serial episodes.
