Buffy/Angel Region 2 Question

Does anyone happen to know what kind of packaging the complete box sets use inside for each season? Are they the book-style seasons or amarays?

Both. They were first sold with the book-style packaging, but newer sets have been amaray cases. If you are buying form an online DVD store, check with them about the packaging (amaray cases are usually cheaper and are often marked "New packacing").

EDIT: by "newer sets" I mean re-releases of already existing season sets.

Sorry, should have been more clear with my question. I meant the 'Complete Season 1-7' Box Set.

I own most of the box sets, but there's a few I don't, and I'd rather have the book-style sets. Unfortunately with the switch to amaray, the older sets have been discontinued and aren't readily available online, at least not for below £60-75 as they were before.

There's the Choices Direct exclusive collection that came out a month or two back, which I hear are the book-style sets in a larger exterior case, but there are also more widely released collections on the way of both Buffy and Angel that are a bit cheaper. I'm guessing that these would be amarays, since they're coming out after the switch, but I thought I'd see if anyone knew for sure.

I dunno if you saw it but they're coming out with Buffy: Complete boxset in region 1 on Nov. 15th so maybe they'll use this "Book style" you speak of for it, or maybe just an amaray case......

Glad I never bought any of Buffy......

Edit: Stupid me, didn't even notice the region 2 part of the title, all I can suggest is getting them used or scouring the internet, I wish I could be more useful.

Region 4 did this as well. It's hard to find a good box set any more.

Also, the Office of Film and Literature Classification has changed the style of our ratings displays -- they're almost as ugly as the UK ones.

I'm close to *only* buying stuff from Region 1. 95% of the time, it's a better set.
