I loved this comment below

YES!!!! I I can't wait for this one. I am a huge fan of the Alien and Predator films and I own the 2-Disc Collector's Edition's of all six of the combined films. There are a lot of features on this set, its great to see it. This one is deifently for the fans. Fox has announced some great 2-Disc Collector's Editions recently in ELEKTRA, THE FLY and THE FLY II. I better start saving my money because there are a lot of DVDs coming out that I need to buy!
Can you say PLANT?!!? Honestly if you were dumb enough to like this movie enough to buy the DVDs then I'm glad FOX screwed you with the ol' double dip into your pockets.

All two of them. Also, don't forget to miss the release of the double disk collector's editions of Ishtar, Barbwire, and Swept Away.

Man, oh, man, no amount of gore could save this steaming pile. I, and slag me all you want, even like Alien Resurrection, but-- after the first 15 minutes or so-- AVP had absolutely no redeeming values. Unless the added gore is raised to Dead Alive-esque levels (adding an element of campiness), it's simply not going to help.

There was no "additional gore" promised anyway. You're probably remembering that "Paul Anderson interview" where he claimed the movie was supposed to be rated R and was chopped up. The interview was bullshit, someone made it up.

A Two disc XTREME EDITION! was released in other countries when the movie was first released on DVD in the US. This unrated cut sounds like they just put the shitty deleted scenes from the XTREME EDITION! back into the movie.

Poochie says, "It's time to recycle these dvd's to the EXTREME!"
