Is it worth it? Anyone seen this? What's different and/or better?

I bought it when it came out, mostly because I wanted it on DVD, but had just never bought it for one reason or another. Now granted, I only had seen the movie once before (in the theatre), but when I watched the "Unrated" version, for the life of me I couldn't pick out anything new.

the back of both unrated and rated cases both say 92 mins, so i am guessing not much at all. pretty much a useless double dip

Dodgeball Rated vs. Unrated Versions

There are really only about 3-4 new lines in the Unrated Version. The only reason I bought it was because I had seen a downloaded version a number of times and it had the different (and funnier, I think) lines in it. So every time I watched the theatrical version the missing jokes just annoyed me. There's certainly no reason to own both though. So if you own the original and enjoy that one, there's no reason to buy the new version.

List of differences between the two versions:

When Justin Long is trying out for the cheerleading squad, the fat girl says 'I'm not wearing any panties' before he tries to pick her up.

When Patches O'Houlihan rolls in for the first dodgeball practice he says 'I love the smell of queef in the morning' instead of saying nothing at all.

When critiqueing someone's dodgeball playing skills he says 'You're about as useful as a cock flavored lollypop' instead of 'You're about as useful as a poopy flavored lollypop' in the original.

When playing in the dodgeball tournament, instead of saying 'You look like a bunch of retards trying to hump a doorknob' Patches O'Houlihan says 'You look like a bunch of retards trying to f**k a doorknob'

And the final difference is that after the cheerleading competition Justin Long kisses the girl instead of just going straight to the dodgeball tournament.

The Unrated DVD also has a joke commentary track that I haven't listened to. Supposedly it only goes for about 40 minutes and then they just start some other random commentary track for the rest of the movie.

So if you think those several differences are worth the money (which I did due to my earlier explanation) or if you don't already own a copy I'd certainly buy the Unrated Version. Otherwise, it's just going to be a waste of money.

[edited to fix second hump a doorknob ...]

The things that don'teatnachos lists above were all in the Dodgeball we got in Australia! All those scenes appeared in the theatrical release and the first DVD release. Your theatrical edition was all cut up?

This change might be the one that gets me to buy the new version.

I like how in that scene where Patches throws the wrench, in the unrated version he throws a flaming human cock instead. And I'm not talking about Andy Dick either.

In other words, I'll stick with what I got. Sounds like the Unrated is useless.
