One of the most eagerly anticipated documentaries finally makes its way onto DVD on October 25th. Only a month after the ghastly murders of three little boys found in a West Memphis creek, three teenagers are taken into custody and instantly condemned by a retribution-hungry public. Directed by Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky, the acclaimed Paradise Lost: The Child Murders At Robin Hood Hills follows the year-long trials and tribulations of the West Memphis Three, their legal eagles and the families of both the victims and defendants. Presented in fullscreen and Dolby Digital 2.0, the Docurama disc features 45 minutes of exclusive new footage, a timeline of events, trial updates and filmmaker bios. Retail is $26.95.
However some online stores like www.dvdempire.com list a October 18th release date.

I'm very happy this wonderful doc is finally coming to DVD. The sequel is also available on DVD as well.

Is this the documentary that paints the older gentleman, who is quite outspoken against the boys, as a possible suspect? (I think he might have been a father to one or some of the boys)

This was a painful doc to watch. If I remember correctly, there was much doubt cast that these kids actually did it, and that this older dude was pretty iffy with his backstory. I would be very interested in seeing the new footage on this DVD release.

I remember the father going to have all his teeth pulled a day or so before he was to have impressions made of his bite to compare to the marks on the victims.

Yeah, that father was a weird guy. I remember a scene in the second movie where he was burning something, I think it was pictures of the three accused kids and ranting something about how it was going to symbolize the hell they would experience. That seems a lot like witchcraft to me.
They have a website for anyone interested in the background:

I remember a follow up to the first movie. I hope part 2 will come out too
