It's ok. It's pretty stupid, but it's John Waters-stupid so it has its good moments. I don't think it earned its NC-17 rating (compared to PF, it's nothing). I'm just not as in to the bad acting/goofy comedy like I used to be.

I was luck enough to see the "Neuter" version, so I don't know what was really so horrible about the NC-17 version. There were plenty of time where you could see that the chracters were mouthing one thing but what you heard was completely different. Not sure if any stuff was just cut out, but dialogue was obviously edited down. I'm curious enought to want to see the NC-17 because the "Neuter" version was actually pretty tame...

I've seen the NC-17 version and I suspect the only reason it's not R is because late in the movie there's a shot where Chris Issack sees his neighbor's dick hanging out. The movie itself isn't bad for about the first thirty minutes, then it just starts repeating itself with the same raunch and prude gags over and over again. Tracy Ullman badly overacts, even for a John Waters movie, and was never believable to me. Loved the 50's sex tunes filled soundtrack.

Saw the NC-17 version and I thought it was hilarious! I refuse to pay the $25 or more to get it on DVD though. It should be a crime to charge that much for a single disc DVD.
