"In the 1600s, Countess Bathory killed 650 young women to bathe in their blood,
believing that such a gruesome ritual would grant her eternal youth and beauty.
To this day, she remains the most prolific female serial killer of all time and
her legend has become one of the cornerstones of vampire mythology."

I've heard this movie is just softcore lesbian schlock, but the premise and story sounds cool. From what I read, the Bathory slay total the filmmakers deal with is a bit conservative... some say she left 2000 victims in her wake.

Has anyone heard about this? It's a low budget Canadian-horror import about how this woman has supposedly lived through the ages feeding on other women in order to stay eternal.

Didn't see it. Don,t want to either. One of my friends worked on post-production on that movie, saw the whole lot of it and more, and that was released here like last year of so. On all account, it's crap. Story-wise crap. Cheap lesbo-crap. etc.
The chick is hot, but in a age when most teenage-oriented movie now offer full-on anal penetration on a regular basis, it fly under the radar.

I, too, have heard Eternal is just cheap lesbo porn, which I don't see anything wrong with myself.

However, I still don't think Miss Bathory's been given the proper film treatment. I was thinking of writing one myself the other day. Not that it would get made or anything. And accounts range from 20-2000 victims. Some believe even 600 is grossly exaggerated. But with the way things were set up (peasents sending their daughters to her to become respectable), I could see how that would happen. I think the only one who's done her justice is the band Bathory. But that's another story.

Don't bother with this film. It's a shitty film from Québec/Canada with a bad singer trying to pass as an actress in the title role (or is it the other way around?). It flopped real hard here and was destroyed by critics wich are usually lenient towards local movies.

It has nothing to do with Countess Bathory.

The movie is complete and utter shite.

Read the book instead, "The Blood Countess" a much better way to spend your time.

Julie Deply in a film about Countess Bathory that sticks to the true story...which is more horrific then any fiction could be....could be a good movie.
BUt this version does sound like crap.

This still sounds like Countess Anna. It's pretty horrific what she's done to anime and I'm sure the sight of her in a costume can destroy the will of a thousand men. The picture she posted of her in that Van Helsing/ Sommers - Dracula costume definitely made my balls shrink like Costanza in a cold pool.
