Or you can, as I and others do, use the New Posts button near the top of the page to view the board. You can see the title of every thread on the board that is being posted in, so you'll have at least some idea of what's going on in the forums you don't usually look at. It's pretty easy to skip over the threads you don't want to read, although you'll still see their titles.
Other advantages: It's faster, (at least I think so) you'll see the forums you may not usually venture into (Fetal Films, DVD Reviews, Nick's bands, AKA stuff that's mainly ignored by many folks here) and it's a pretty quick way to see if any of the threads you are interested in have been posted in lately, especaily if you visit the boards alot. If you don't visit often it might not be as useful to you, but in that case you suck anyway, so who cares?
