While this news may deserve its own thread/s (if it hasn't some already) I feel it is my duty as a DVD whore to at least remind everyone that the Clone Wars release is only a small part of a HUGE (and for many, EXPENSIVE) day of animation sets. Take heed, as December 6th will see the release of the following:

-The aforementioned Clone Wars (Vol. 2)
-Batman: TAS (Vol. 4)
-Superman: TAS (Vol. 2)
-Aqua Teen Hunger Force (Vol. 4)
-Gargoyles (Vol. 2)

That is all.

Batman: TAS Volume 4 is a no-brainer.

I was first left wondering why this didn't hit the week Episode III hit theaters. Then I was left wondering why it's not hitting the same day as the DVD. Now I mostly just wonder the same thing as always: why Jim Ward hasn't been castrated yet.

I mentioned it in the Fall/December thread, but I think it bears repeating.

FUCK. YES.

Oh, and more Gargoyles? Double FUCK. YES.

Good point. What a wasted opportunity, I mean, why even make the cartoons if only cartoon network viewers got to see them. Yes, if you are a fan, you saw them, but it's weird they didn't take advantage of a better timed release.

Volume 2 is worth it just to see Yoda tossing Federation Dropships around like confetti, and General Grievous actually being SCARY. Why oh why weren't the prequels this cool?? (Rhetorical question, please don't turn this thread into a prequel discussion ).

The Clone Wars VOl. 2 DVD has a Battlefront II demo, the ROTS DVD has a Battlefront II demo.

Will we even need to buy the game itself?

Tell me about it. I actually missed the entire second half of the series when it aired on Cartoon Network, and ended up having to download it from a Torrent site days before the film came out.

This series strengthened the prequels in ways I never imagined it would. It deserved to be treated much better than this.

P.S.--Battlefront's overrated.

I agree - I much preferred Jedi Academy and Knights of the Old Republic - ie. stuff NOT based on the movies. Battlefront was a hazy-looking button masher.

The Clone Wars DVD should be available as a special set with the ROTS DVD. Considering Clone Wars Season 2 directly leads into the events of ROTS, I don't think it's a far-fetched idea.

Not online it isn't.
