Sound/Off 9.9.05

King Cujo I 9-9-05 -- My boss is a fat moron. Over the past year I've had the pleasure of working on "War of the Worlds", "The New World", along with other smaller television and independent projects in various capacities. This summer I decided that I was done travelling for a bit and I took a job doing editing and some video filming with a local health insurance/hospital company. Sounds like a good deal right? I dont have to travel anymore. I can spend more time with my family. Get my smaller projects completed. But in truth the person I work for is an overtly obese know it all who likes to manage the game after its been played.
Case in point. We went into a hospital to film a discussion. This was my first gig for them. I've worked a lot on my own films, but never anything like that which is basically broadcast. She leaves me there and disapears to go to COSTCO for two hours to get medication for her dogs! Then she has the nerve to bitch at me later about the way I shot it. Also she likes to come into work 2-4 hours later then everyone else. Her reasoning is that she is a single parent and can't get daycare early enough. She also says she stays later. Both are bullshit reasons. I was a single parent at one time. I dealt with it. She doesn't stay late because people always ask why no one was there when she was scheduled to be there.

In short I work for a lazy oaf who likes to manage the game after its been played. Back to the want ads for me.

barbelithbomb (nicholas) - 9/9 My one band WiLLiS played what might be our last show together last night, and that, coupled with my 3 hours of sleep from the previous night, made me sleep insanely late today and I woke up feeling awful. Got to my one class ontime though. Got my new glasses, and they're the hotness. And now, begins my long weekend of nothing. Til Sunday, when my other band Spoons for Adam plays our FIRST show.
So there's that.

Thor 09-09-05: Slow, slow day today. I think everyone who wanted to see Broken Flowers has already seen it. And bitched about the ending.

Looking forward to a night out with a bunch of married friends. Maybe one of 'em will set me up.
