Comic Book: The Movie

Wal-Mart has the 2 disc DVD for Comic Book: The Movie on sale for only $6.44. On Sept. 25th it leaves the shelves for good.

Is there ANY reason at all for me to add this Luke Skywalker directed flick to my collection? Is it entertaining at all?

I think this was the fastest ever "Blind buy immediately put up on Ebay" purchase for me. I guess Hamill was going for some kind of BEST IN SHOW type vibe but it missed extremely wide of the mark. An actual "Trekkies" style documentary on that type of freak show probably would have been a much better film than what he ended up doing.

One of the most horiffic movies I've had the pleasure of seeing recently. I mean, it's fucking atrocious. I have a pretty strong tolerance for shit, and if I turn a movie off before it's over it means avoid at all cost. The only other movie I've turned off was "Krackerjack'd" which didn't live up to it's amazing title.

Mark Hamell's attempt to be Christopher Guest fails completly.
The sad thing is I am sure it has posoined the well so that Guest will not attempt to give the world of fandom the "Best Of Show" treatment...which could be drop dead funny in Guest's hands

Agree with Wolfwood. My wife picked this up for me blind, and I enjoyed the second disc most of all. The panel that they had with all the well-known voice talent was a fun watch.
