Shaving one's head.

I don't even know why I'm asking this because i'm pretty sure I know the answer I'll get.

For a while I've been contimplating shaving my head. Not for any reason other than I'm curious about how I'll look. I've been thinking of doing it for Halloween so I can use my totaly shaven head as a blank slate to try to apply some horror movie prosthetics (Damn, the later it is the worse I spell). I'm intersted in trying out makeup stuff so i'll be less dependent on other people who I will not be able to pay to do makeup for short films I'm planning to shoot. As discovered people who don't get paid are really flakey even if you supply them with all the materials they need for a job (including free food).

I also think I could make some money off of my friends by betting them that I'll go through with it.

So yes or no? I'll attach a file with my picture.

Shave it. It's not that long now. And yeah, it'll just grow back should you look utterly horrible.

I got more tail in the few weeks after I shaved my head than I did in the previous two years. Go figure. Go fer it.

Same here...chicks just wanna touch the scalp, go figure.
My initial bald story is HIGHLY embarassing; yet when told in a sincere, self-effacing way I still come across as a moron, yet a loveable one. (No surprise there.)
I've still got the scars.

I was talked into shaving my head after I got my hair cut really short and one of my old roommates commented that I head a well-shaped head. So I took the plunge. I liked it a lot, but it did get to be a pain having to do twice as much shaving every morning -- if you don't keep up on it every day, it starts to look really stubbly and not too good.

I did have one major mishap -- I wasn't getting the scalp as smooth as I wanted and was looking for options, and I found a website that recommended using Nair to get a really good smooth cut.

Well, I didn't notice the warning not to do this until after you'd been shaving for at least six months to let the scalp get used to it.

Let's just say it's possible to be a redhead and not have any hair.

I am going prematurely bald, so I decided to shave my head and I haven't regretted it once. It looks much better than it did before. Give it a shot, you may wind up liking the look.

Go for it. I did mine a few years ago to see how it looked. It feels weird at first but you soon get used to it, the only reason I stopped was laziness. Too much shaving, so now I just keep it really short. I'm pretty much a slaphead anyway so I don't have a lot of options.

I'd be tempted to do it again but now I have a full beard & I really don't want people yelling "Hey mister, you've got your head on upside down!!"

One of the interesting things that will show when I shave my head are my scars. When I was little I had a really huge head compaired to my body. I was top heavy then and fell down a lot smashing my head on furnature. I've had to go to the hospital twice to get stiches in my scalp. And from what my parents tell me the scars are still there.

Also I don't intend to keep shaving my head ionce I've done it unless I like the way I look.

Don't do it. I shaved my head and found a nest of rare Longbred Condors. Three days later they died. My hair was giving them warmth and they fed off my dandruff. If they had lived I could have sold them on EBAY to the Chinese.

Generally it depends on the shape of your skull, but I say go for it.

There's too much head shaving going on. If you're going bald, you need to embrace it. Pretty soon, the monk is going to go the way of the white-fro. Don't let it happen.

Even worse is if you're not bald. You'll have plenty of time to enjoy having no hair when you're in your middle ages & beyond. Take your time.

Shave it. But when I shave my head I like to do something stupid with my hair first so I can see what it looks like and then get rid of the results. So, if you ever wanted to try out a blue mohawk, you can kill two birds with one stone. Other than that, it's great. Easy to keep up with (you get the daily shaving part down fast) and you can roll out of bed and be late for work and no one can tell from your bedhead.
