Crazy Tattooed Guy Appreciation Thread

One of the great things about this site is that there is a genuine appreciation for Al Leong, a tremendous amount of respect for Branscomb Richmond, and even a few misty eyes when the name Danny Trejo is brought up. Well there is another one of these guys who has been working for a while now in film and TV who deserves some genuine praise. Most people would call him crazy tattooed guy, but his name is Robert Lasardo. Here's a picture of the man that might jog a few memories:

I respect this guy because by turning his body into a living painting he severely limits the type of roles he can play. I doubt he'll ever be cast as a doctor, lawyer, or ice cream man. I guess he could play an auto mechanic but that's about as normal a character as he'll probably be given the chance to play. But so what? If you're going to be a heavily tattooed actor you might as well be the best heavily tattooed actor around.

Some of Mr. Lasardo's film highlights include the following:

-Guy who joins up with Christopher Walken after Walken kills his boss in KING OF NEW YORK.
-Guy who has his foot twisted like a pretzel in HARD TO KILL.
-Guy who is shot with a paint gun by Natalie Portman, and then with a real gun by Jean Reno in THE PROFESSIONAL.

It should be noted that his appearance in THE PROFESSIONAL can only be seen in the uncut LEON version. It's a truly funny scene and Lasardo is great in his few minutes of screen time.

Lately he has been racking up an impressive list of TV credits, such as:

-A bounty hunter who goes into business with the Strike Team on "The Shield."
-The first fugitive hunted down on the recent series "Wanted."
-Escobar the drug dealer on "Nip/Tuck."

It's his work on "Nip/Tuck" where Lasardo has really come into his own. I hope he makes some sort of appearance, dream sequence or otherwise, on the upcoming season of the show.

In the near future for Lasardo is a film titled DIRTY. The cast includes Cuba Gooding Jr, Cole Hauser, and Keith David. With a cast like that I don't know if that film will be in theaters or not but I know I'll be watching and I'll be hoping that Robert Lasardo wears short sleeves and dies in a viscous fashion.

Always love seeing "that guy" in anything, especially King of New York.

He got to beat the shit out of Wesley Snipes in DROP ZONE as well.

Has anybody seen a film called LATIN DRAGON? The lead's name is Fabian Carillo and Lasardo is credited as playing the role of Paco. It came out on video last year and the rest of the cast includes Gary Busey, Lorenzo Lamas, and James Hong. I haven't seen it but I'd be game to see what a Latino heavy martial arts film might look like.

I agree about the season finale of "Nip/Tuck" appearance, when Dylan Walsh looked in the mirror and that guy was right next to him I got a real jolt to the system.

Yeah, that guy. Remember Double Tap, with Heather Locklear and Stephen Rea? Not a bad little action flick, and he plays a good guy. Can you believe it?

I was looking over the cast of DOUBLE TAP and it is stacked. Locklear is nice for eye candy but alongside Rea and Lasardo it features Peter Greene, Mykelti Williamson, Kevin Gage, Michael Paul Chan, and Terrence Howard. What sucks is that it's not available on DVD here yet but it sounds like it could be a fun flick.

I hate Crazy Tattooed Guy (and the thing is, Moltisanti, I knew who you were talking about even before I entered the thread). Every time I see him in a film I want to punch him in his smirking face.

How could anybody hate Crazy Tattooed Guy? CTG has given us all so much joy and asks for very little in return. Not liking CTG is like hating a rainbow or being disgusted by the laughter of children.

Never seen it, I really need to purchase that Deluxe Edition.

I've got love for CTG, he was great in Nip/Tuck.

I'd also like to throw some appreciation for a guy who's following in the same shoes....Noel Gugliemi

He scares me.

best Yeah Well Come And Cut My Heart Out That Guy since Amresh "Mola Ram" Puri. he was good in that Van Damme prison picture too.

I smile whenever I see him in a movie because he totally reminds of this ratty-looking friend I had back in college (my friend thought he was cool because he looked like raggamuffin music megastar Apache Indian but I would always burst his bubble by telling him he looked like Lasardo)

I'm a fan of the "That Guy". It is always a treat to see one of them unexpectedly show up in a film.

I know you meant to type vicious, but dying in a 'viscous fashion' would probably be pretty nasty too.

When I saw the thread title, I also immediately thought of Mr. Lasardo. He had [has?] a great recurring role in Nip/Tuck.

In other news, this further cements the fact that Moltisanti is one of my favorite Chewers.

What can I say? CTG brings out the incorrect speller side of me. But he also brings out the side of me that enjoys pancakes which is a good deal for me because pancakes are way cooler than proper spelling.

Thanks CTG! My pancakes are delishis!

Thanks boots, I am glad that CTG can bring so many people together. He is a lot like Gandhi in this way except I doubt Gandhi had a bunch of tats which was his downfall.
