Less time you need to spend casing the joint.

Was that the "you cant use a sentient vehicle" argument? I kinda agreed with that, as you could just spend all day listing transformers. Dispite that the drafts were fun and should be resurected.

KITT was an acceptable choice because it was decided that his PRIMARY function was to transport Michael from place to place (Same with Benny the Cab, even though he was a talking cartoon taxi, his primary function was as a vehicle). A Transformer's primary function is to beat up robots and sell toys.

And it takes us all of under sixty posts for the discussion to turn to Knight Rider.
Let's list our favorite Knight Rider episodes.

I want to be democratic about this and say that I figured the "Recent Scuffles" addition really increased traffic to some of the boards people usually didn't visit. So, things are going well in my view, as I can usually find some decent debate around here. Though no one visited my TIME OF THE WOLF thread, as I was hoping for some juicy debate there.

And CRADLE WILL ROCK blows.

Acutally Bob I think that picture is from an eppisode of Different Strokes *and i can't belive i know that.*

It's funny; this thread, along with the brilliant Nintendogs thread in the video games forum, illustrates how much Devin and Slater hate themselves.

The best is watching Devin and Slater fight each other. It's like a page right out of Dorkin's Eltingville Club.

Time to lay down the crack pipe.

Seriously.
Heh, the caps there weren't for frantic emphasis, as much as they were to point out to people, in a big way, that there's already a thread that they're ignoring if they want to debate that movie.
But yes, crack pipe will be put to rest...for now...

"why Are We Still Fighting!"

I love Chewer feuds.

But would the "Favorite Chewer Feuds" thread go on the "Lists" or "Catch-All" board?

Anyway, my vote goes to Slater-Diva.

Question now is, "Why are threads regarding 'Why are list threads so popular?' so popular"?

Renter's insurance. I found it useful for insuring my posessions. I punch in the cd/dvd, and guzzlefish or aficionado gives me the it's current worth. but yeah, part of it was the "oooh, my list is so fucking HOT."

My favourite is Slater vs Ella Enchanted.

Anyone who can't see the difference between listing a bunch of films with little to no context and a 4 part, multi-thousand word, co-written article, albeit in list form, is frankly nuts. Or a bit thick.

I try to do the same thing. Whether I succeed is another thing altogether.

I have a link to my DVD Aficionado list, and I'll admit I can not see the problem. I have almost 400 DVDs and this is a way to keep track of them. I love my DVD collection and people around here sometimes start "What DVDs do you own?"-threads. I can then point to the link.
If you don't want to know then don't click it. I read and update my own list, but I'm not really interested in knowing what other people own. Sure, it's a symptom of my collector's mania, but that doesn't mean I plan on taking any shit for it. Ever.

Chill, tough guy.
I don't have a problem with it, I just don't understand it.

I didn't mean for it to be taken as a challenge, I'm not really into that kind of posturing. I read some snark into your post, and that was my bad. I don't really know how to explain the whole DVD Aficionado thing to someone who doesn't care about that stuff as I do.

I've been for all intents and purposes away for a minute, but this is just retarded. Why does Devin get so huffy over message board topics, anyway? And what is this internet mentality shit that just because Devin posts his opinion, however valid or amusing I usually find it, that if anyone disagrees, three hundred of you come to his defense and tear down the attacker? What kind of pecking order bullshit is this? Does it make you feel that much more special to align with the popular kid? Do you feel that much closer to the secret club? Attacking Moltilsanti? Do any of you ever read his posts? He knows his shit, and he's funny to boot.

This thread is the messageboard equivalent of the Roddy Piper/Keith David fistfight from "They Live".

With the exception of a few posts, it's more like the Timmy/Jimmy version of that fight.
