I'm looking at maybe Strax or Dan for this, but I just went to IMDB and they put the UK release date as August 5th. Is that right and has the movie come and gone? I don't remember seeing any promotion for it at all.

Yup, you've missed it, el duder. They tried to cunningly counter-program it against The Island, I think. It failed to cause much of a stir and bombings don't do much to lift the spirits enough for a film advertised as the most gruelling, bloody and sadistic experience of recent times.

Shame really as I think it's probably the best picture of the year.*

I think the DVDs out in time for Halloween though, I think. I think.

*Yes, I've seen the wonderful Land Of The Dead, no I didn't like execrable House Of 1000 Corpses.

Can't wait for the DVD. This past summer was unusually strong for horror.

Yep, it came and went. I remember seeing a few TV spots for it and, bizarrely, there was a huge billboard for it opposite my son's nursery.
