Inspired by the "Recast Your Favorite Movie for ____" threads and the uproar over Mike Myers possibly playing Keith Moon, use this thread to cast your biopics. I'll take a crack at the Keith Moon one:

No picture of Mrs. Sondheim was available on the 'net, however, Leigh is great at playing crazy, controlling women, and the few pictures I've seen of Mrs. Sondheim reminded me of Leigh.

A musical legend for ‘Oklahoma!’, ‘South Pacific,’ and others. The key influence on Sondheim’s life and career, one of his earliest teachers and a powerful father figure



Milton Babbitt-Paul Giamatti
Another one of Sondheim’s teachers and electronic music pioneer, influenced Sondheim’s use of a consistent tone.



I couldn’t find a photo of Babbitt in the appropriate age-range, but Giamatti looks like he’d be right(late thirties-early 40s)

Leonard Bernstein-Josh Charles
Legendary American composer who clashes with Sondheim on ‘West Side Story’



Jerome Robbins-Stanley Tucci
Relentless perfectionist, director, and choreographer of ‘West Side Story’

The domineering star of ‘Gypsy’ and Broadway legend.



Larry Gelbart-David Krumholtz
Co-Writer on ‘A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum,’ creator of 'M*A*S*H*', becomes one of Sondheim’s closest confidants.



No picture from the appropriate time period was available, however, a group shot from Gelbart’s Sid Caesar days reminds me of Krumholtz. Alternate casting: Seth Rogan

Star of ‘Anyone Can Whistle’ and ‘Sweeney Todd’

Once again, the only picture I have of Johns in ‘A Little Night Music’ is from my own collection. Walters looks like a good fit.

Len Cariou-Liev Schreiber
One of the stars in ‘A Little Night Music,’ it is he who goes on to originate Sondheim’s most frightening role—Sweeney Todd!



No picture here, either. Damn.

AND

Zero Mostel-Nathan Lane
The domineering tornado who battles with Sondheim on the early ‘A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum’
