The original 1933 classic is coming to DVD on Nov.22, and it looks as though Warners (who has the DVD rights to the RKO library) has done another great job of presenting a classic.
It comes in three flavors: The standard two disc edition,(26.00) a Collector's edition which comes in a metal box and has a reproduction of the original 1933 world premeir Program,(39.00) and 4 DVD box set that includes "Son of Kong" and "Mighty Joe Young" along with the Kong SE.
Here is a list of the special features on all three editions:
DVD Features:
Available subtitles: English, Spanish, French
Available Audio Tracks: English (Dolby Digital 2.0 Mono)

That's right, Ray Harryhausen is one of the people doing the commentary for the film. Probably to tie in and fill in the gaps in the commentary by the film makers, which is taken from interviews made a long time before the age of DVD commetaries,
which has actually worked quite well in a couple of other Warner's DVDs.
ANd I would not be suprised if Peter Jackson shows up in the Heirs of Kong section.
Looks as though this one has been done right.
