And there's also Doom and Three... Extremes, not to mention the tremendous amount of Horror DVDs released this month. I think it's a fine season quantity-wise...quality-wise? Well I'll just hold out judgement on that.

Halloween has been going downhill since season 3. It's like the writers aren't even trying anymore.

Doom, sadly, look like absolute shit despite the "R" rating...word from the advance screening is pretty bad. And that the studio is planting reviews should be a real red light.
The Fog could be interesting, but never really cared that much for the original.
More and More I feel that the original release date for "Land Of The Dead" in October should have been kept.
But any Halloween where Wallace is transformed into the Were Rabbit can't be all bad.

Eh, horror movies come out year-round, and I can't remember the last time that October marked the arrival of any substantially better horror movies.

There are a lot of good new DVD releases, both high and low profile.
High Tension, House of Wax, Dead And Breakfast, and a DTV called Satan's Little Helper, which has been getting some good reviews.

Historically speaking, horror doesn't do well at the box office in October. Strange but true.

This has been the year of the PG-13 crapfest with the exception of Excorcism of Emily Rose which was very good. If it wasn't for Rob Zombie and 'ol George we wouldn't have had any good horror movies all year. A very big letdown considering how good last year was.

Yeah I'm hoping it gets a decently wide release - I'd really love to go see it without spending a fortune on gas to get to a bigger cineplex. I was surprised as hell to catch Dead & Breakfast playing locally so maybe I'll get a similar surprise with this.

This whole year is a let down! I could only think of about 6 or 7 at the most. And that's including the ones that won't be out until the next couple of months!!
