I must admit to feeling slightly bummed about this. Rocket was never gonna be more than a C-lister after his association with one of SNL's worst seasons ever, and the notoriety of being booted after saying 'fuck' on live TV was always going to be his epitaph.
But I quite liked him as Bruce Willis's brother on a couple of MOONLIGHTING episodes, was pleasantly surprised in 'Hey, It's That Guy' kind of way when he appeared in DANCES WITH WOLVES and thought he was sort of cool in an Albert Pyun movie (yeah, I know) called DOWN TWISTED.
Wonder if he and any other cast members from the Doumanian era of SNL got invited to that 25th anniversary special a few years back? Jeez, they would have felt like lepers in that room - even the crew from the the '85-'86 season would have cold-shouldered 'em.
Rest in peace, Mr Rocket.
