What films did you like as a kid but can't stand now? - Page 5

I vaguely remember that movie. Didn't the climax of the movie end up in an unfinished building or something?

I do, but not fondly.

Was anybody here ever a fan of those old movie featuring Bud Spencer and Terence Hill?

I used to think Supercops and They Call Me Trinity were the bees knees... would be very interested to know how they hold up - not especially well, i'd imagine?

Runaway... Man, I remember bits of that being kickass (the aforementioned spiders and their POV, about 15 years before Minority Report ripped it off!), but even when I was a kid, and I mean 7 or 8 years old here, I thought it was fairly weak. Now Short Circuit 2 is a film that belongs here. Johnny Five as a "punk" was HIGHlarious... now its just shit. Big shit.

Actually, I feel that the Trinity films (the first two, at least) hold up rather well.

Yep. I saw this as a double feature with the Velvet Goldmine and love both films. I probably love Velvet Goldmine just a bit more because it really hammered home how much I love Bowie and just what a unique icon he truly was.

As for films I loved as a kid and don't like now, there's a few, but let me add the one horrific name from my youthful ignorance that I'm most ashamed of - Caveman.
Saturday the 14th isn't far behind.

I'd like to add Transylvania 6-5000. Didn't realize the whole movie was lead up to a bad punchline till I bought it on dvd as an adult (liked it as a kid).

Trick or Treat !!!

that was one of the scariest movies i'd ever seen... as a 7 year-old.

Yeah, but at least it featured Geena Davis in that slinky Vampirella costume.
