A movie like Brainscan is unique. The characters in this film only exist in the time that the movie was made. Brainscan can almost be called a period film today due to its embracing the troubled...

TLDNR REVIEW: “Amazing Spider-Man” is almost good, just like powdered mashed potatoes are almost real.
Look, guys. I realize that anyone that is reading this review has already made up their...
I absolutely loved Colbert's "Press Secretary" video on Tuesday night. He was being chased by Helen Thomas of the White House Press Corps and it made for some hilarious TV.
The Difference Makers segment was one of the most hilarious/depressing things I've seen in a good while. I just don't get why (southern white) people are so upset by the fact that the national anthem was translated into Spanish. The ideas and values that the anthem stands for are universal and understood no matter what language it's spoken in.
My friends and former coworkers have been reccomending this show forever and I finally took in most of everything Youtube has to offer, gotta agree that the man is dynamite. His threatdowns are superb as are his rants on why monkeys should not give bears a taste for mammal bood because they are godless killing machines.
Anyone catch Amy Sedaris on the show last night? I'd be interested in knowing whether the tumbling was as funny as I thought it was, or if I was just punchy at that hour. I am actually enjoying Colbert more than the Daily Show.

You weren't just punchy, it was fucking hilarious.
Wow, I finally saw that Jeff Daniels bit, that was brutal. It's interesting to watch these early ones cause it looks like some guests have no clue what the show is supposed to be.
It's interesting that his guests have leaned more towards entertainers and esoteric folks rather than political figures since they came back from the break. I think that works better, frankly.
Colbert's funnier, but TDS still provides the more vital service of untangling the bullshit.
Did anybody see his interview with Joe Scarborough on July 19th? That had to be one of the most amusing interviews I'd ever seen him do; particularly, everything after Scarborough admitted to taking money from Abramhoff was hilarious.
I just love how pleased Colbert seemed for asking a semi-serious question (did Scabarough take any money from Abramoff). Him breaking out of character to give himself a pat on the back had me in fucking stitches.
Yeah, that Scarborough interview was insane in a good way. Kind of interesting how he was friendly until Colbert accused him of taking Abramoff's money, and then he suddenly started picking a fight with the audience, and Colbert seemed to think that was hilarious.
I can't believe the morning shows were dishonest enough to try to "bring down" Wexler by quoting him out of context like that. Stephen was obviously genuinely pissed that they were ragging on the guy for being nice enough to play along.
I kept expecting Donohue to announce that we were all in danger of being Dildoed by Lesbionics.
Sneaking out just prior to WizardWorld: Chicago…apparently, the deal, as they say is a done one.
From Oni Press:

That’s right folks.
Oni Press, in cooperation with The Colbert Report and Comedy Central will be publishing a series of comics based off of the unpublished sci-fi masterpiece Stephen Colbert’s Alpha Squad 7: Lady Nocturne: A Tek Jansen Adventure. The manuscript is currently on permanent loan to the Smithsonian Institute where it is being preserved for future generations.
Everybody here at Oni is happy to be doing our patriotic duty by bringing this work to a larger audience.
There was a headline about riots in Hungary. For a few seconds, I expected to read a story about Hungarians rioting because Stephen Colbert won the internet vote for the naming of that bridge they're building.
Turns out those pesky Hungarians were rioting because the government lied about the economy.
