Dieux You Fancy A Little Rugby?

A little something for the ladies. From the 2006 Dieux du Stade calendar:

A little too whitebread for my tastes, although the first two are pretty hot.

Those are nice.
These aren't as good, but they're the best I had on hand.

Bumping.... 2007 DDS is out.

Oh La La Paris has got a lot of the images up.

That's pretty faggy.
Well, first I'd like to object to the word "faggy" - that's rather derogatory. (ETA: If you want to see "faggy" check out Jeff Palmer's work.)

Secondly, of course its erotic. This is the sex forum. There are those among us who are attracted to men, you know. Diva and I both happen to be women, but anyone else appreciative of the finer points of the male form would be hard pressed to find anything more beautiful than certain ruggers.

Is black and white the standard for almost-nude men?

Well to be honest, we don't have thread after thread of ladies, we have thread after thread of corpses.

It's nice to have a Sex Forum discussion about live subjects for a change. Even if they are faggy.

Recently, we've had Scarlett and Dita Von Teese...also, the Biel/Alba thread is still going strong.

The only "corpse" thread I can remember off the top of my head is the Julie Robbins stuff...of course, there was like 3 threads for that one topic...

I get what you're saying, though, but I don't think we're quite that bad, yet.

I probably shouldn't post here - Belethedheliel will find it highly amusing that I'm looking at her rugby boys.

I think it's too late, at this point.

You might as well stick around.

A lesser man could feel seriously inadequate looking at these guys. And they don't come much lesser than me.
Ron Jeremy has nothing on these guys' physique...and he is most definately NOT a lesser man.

Depends on how you define "lesser man." He might have a bigger penis, but that's not everything. Considering the other aspects of Mr. Jeremy, it's a good thing he can autofellate, because I can't imagine him getting it any other way.

Yes. Apparently, it's what makes the difference between "art" and "porn."

Oh, I'd only have been concerned if you hadn't gotten any action lately.

ETA: You should've heard the conversation (amongst the men, mind you) of Dan Carter's hair during the game! I was tempted to say that he must have been affected by the new "no fluids can be carried on the plane" rules because he was decidedly lacking in gel.

I wasn't talking about his man-meat. I was talking about his ability to whip out, "Yeah, that's great and all...but I'm Ron Jeremy." and shut up any guy's "Look what I did" spiel almost instantly.

Diva and Belethedheliel - on behalf of my wife, thank you for your yeoman's work here.

Belethedheliel....I've been dying to ask: Where's the name from? Any particular source?

I'm a big fan of the b/w pics. Tend to appreciate them a lot more than the color shots for some reason. Maybe it's the dreamlike quality of it all.

Yeah, an "elvish name generator" that was posted to a BB I was on during the LOTR craze.

Why, because with his name he indicates that he can auto-fellate? That's like being a contortionist: cool and all, but it isn't exactly curin' cancer. I'm impressed by Michael E. DeBakey (see his CV and information about him including a few of his medical "firsts"), not Ron Jeremy.

It doesn't bother me so much if people are employing gay slurs to imitate or make fun of someone who said something homophobic or if they're using it in a political discussion to expose how terrible it is to deny gay people rights (although that gets overdone to me, too), but sometimes it would just be nice to be able to look at a thread with hot naked dudes in it and not have to scroll down and see a gay slur or some joke about a gay stereotype or something. I try to do what I can to fight against homophobia whenever possible, but sometimes it's just nice to be able to chill and not think about all that shit.

You find me hot nekkid rugby playing women (or even a calendar of them), and then it would be a gay niche for me. Right now, it's a hot man-flesh niche. If you find it erotic, good for you. It's definitely good for me.

Yeah. There's nothing inherently sexual about a well-defined, muscular man in just a jock strap on all fours in the shower, with warm, glistening water flowing over his firm muscles... Nope, not erotic at all.

That particular one...the top right guy...does he have some gigantor patch of pubic hair or is that just a trick of the light?

Alright I'll explain what I meant when I wrote what I did.

It was supposed to be a joke about me being insecure. If I looked at a naked man photo and thought it was a well shot photo I'd think, crap I'm gay! So by saying out loud it's gay I think in my mind that I'm straight and have nothing to make up for.

That was the joke. Hopefully I explained it well enough.

Now in reality I am secure enough in my manhood to look at these photos and see that they're nicely shot and well lit. I don't get any sexual pleasure out of them since I'm not a homosexual.

I can guarantee you though that someone would have made a gay joke sooner or later. I just happened to do it first. And yes my joked sucked. My jokes usually do. But because it's a message board I could not deliver my tone. My tone is what sells my bad jokes.

Anyways sorry about it all!

It's not that what you said bothered me that much. I had just been wanting to say what I said for a while, so you kind of gave me the opportunity.

It's a combo of dark hair and shadow (from his hand and the ridge of his pelvis).

I'm no homophobe, but that photo's ghey.

Also, women's lingerie is sexy so there's a case to be made for including them in photos. These photos of the guys with their jock straps/man panties on = not attractive. Leave them on and show a hint off the bunny trail or take them off entirely. That said, I can't deny that these guys are fucking ripped. I think the cover guy has a 12-pack.

The point I was trying to make is, how someone looks at the photos and whether they find them erotic or not and the way in which they find them erotic kind of depends on that particular person and their perspective.

True, but, as with, for example, so many adverts featuring intentially erotic images of women, there are certainly images in which the intent is relatively clear even if it doesn't "work" for a given individual. That shower photo is clearly not intended to look like a locker room candid, it's intended to be erotic. Whether or not a given person actually finds it to be erotic is up to them.

And, that also has a lot to do with gender. Men are very visually oriented (in general) and therefore they like photos, videos, live strippers, etc. Women, in general, are more emotive, so as much as I think the men in those photos are physically attractive, the photos don't actually do anything for me.

Whether it's intended to be erotic or not isn't exactly what I was talking about. I'm more talking about what exactly constitutes something being "gay". I think you could look at those photos and see sensual images of men naked together, which doesn't necessarily equal something gay, or you could something homoerotic, or just full on balls to the wall gay. That's what I mean. The different perspectives people have on things involving men being looked at as sexual objects, some of them probably ingrained in them from a young age, are interesting.

The same is true for the way women are perceived sexually. While men expect for there to be pornography available, there's also the "lady in the parlor" double standard in that it's not acceptible for women to have sexual experience or know what they want, the way that men do. Or that if an adult man has sex with a teenaged boy, it's considered predatory, but not if a women does it. (How wrong is that? it's predatory because of the difference in power in the relationship no matter the gender of the older, power-position partner!)
I think the fact that many guys are uncomfortable seeing pictures of naked or semi-naked men (including groups) shows how male-male friendships are under-represented in the media.
Another thing that I think is interesting is when you see people try to connect examples of homosexuality that are more "masculine" to other examples of homosexuality that are more, maybe, stereotypical, seemingly in order to marginalize that which doesn't fit into the box of what they think homosexuality should be. That happened with Brokeback Mountain to a certain extent. Jokes about who the woman in the relationship was and things like that.

Yes. People confuse orientation (that is, which gender one desires) with masculity/femininity (that is, do you want to behave in stereotypically male or female ways) and with gender identity (that is, do you consider yourself male or female).

Those are three separate traits and one can be a very masculine man and be gay or a very effeminate man and be straight, for example.

Ohlala now also has some nice shots of a rugby team taking a training run on a beach in France:

As to the gayness of the photos, fuck, man, if I was as ripped as these dudes are, you couldn't PAY me too not show it off. They look fucking GOOD.

I don't want to sleep with them in the least, but I am very determined to keep my wife from finding out their names and addresses.
