Hi Everybody,
I am Marky B and I am from a largish town called Billingham,in the north east of England,Great Britain. The two nearest main towns are Middlesbrough and Stockton-On-Tees.
I am completely new to this forum as I was advised about it from a member of the Britmovie forum,as I am a film buff with interests not only in British film, but American films - from Buster Keaton to the present day.
My all time favourite film is David Lean's epic Lawrence of Arabia, but I do like The Godfather trilogy, most of Spielberg films, the Lethal Weapon films,Star Wars series, the Ealing comedies, the Carry On.. series (mainly fifties and sixties),the James Bond films...oh I could go on!
When I am not curled up on the sofa with a beer, watching a DVD,I enjoying rambling (ambling) in the glorious English countryside. I have done the Coast to Coast Walk (192 miles from St Bees in Cumbria to Robin Hood's Bay in North Yorkshire) twice as well one day marathon walks (34 miles to 42 miles).
I also enjoy listening to music (any pop music of the twentieth century, film scores, classical, country,American folk,English folk,motown...oh I could go on).
I do enjoy, when I can afford and can take time,to travel. I have visted most of Europe, the USSR,USA and Canada and of course parts of my own country.
Anyway,I have joined this forum mainly for the films, but it looks like it caters for all tastes so it looks very interesting.
I am looking forward to any replies from anyone (nice replies, please).
