All right, so, as I stated in the costume thread....my intention for my Halloween costume was to go as Palpatine....I've got the cloak, fits fine. I've had the Force F/X saber for about a year. I've got the voice down to a science. The cherry on top would've been the Deluxe Adult Palpatine Mask from the official SW site, which looked so good on the site, but...well, to keep a long story short (too late), I was let down by the results. I want my facial expressions to be seen.....and the only way that's happening is through the makeup option.
I'm no stranger to this, since once upon a time, I went as my usernamesake a few years in a row. However, this is gonna be a lot more detailed than the simple mime-from-hell black around the eyes and lips solution.....I want the wrinkles, the sunken eyes.....not to mention the fact that I'm a young black guy about to portray a really old white guy....and I've never done makeup detail this close before.
I've got enough black and white/faded gray goth makeup to open my own shop. Can anyone offer any pointers on how to do the details before I go slathering this stuff all over my face on Monday?
