As much as i'm looking forward to this, could that be any more of a cash in? what happens when everyone buys it and see's it is absolutely nothing like Sin City?

What a ridiculous cover. Has anyone seen Roadracers, is it any good?

It's great, but its a TV/ Cable movie. The only thing that makes it much better than the typical tv movie is the style, which is suitably big kahuna meets rockabilly racing movie, which a dash of violence. Rodriguez made it after El Mariachi, i think it was to acquaint himself with working with a proper crew and under proper conditions. His next movie would be Desperado.

I think it's a great cover. Sure, it's cashing in on Sin City, but at least it's attractive. There are too many ugly covers out there.

This movie has more in common with Sin City than Bad Taste did with Lord of the Rings -- and Bad Taste's DVD promotion was all about "From the director of The Lord of the Rings! You must buy this movie!"

Anyway, Roadracers is fun. It's all character and no plot -- just a series of good scenes that don't really build to anything. But it's fun nonetheless. I love the music (I'd love to get a soundtrack album) and I've been meaning to get my hands on Rodriguez's (out of print) journal from the time he shot this film. Sort of a sequel to Rebel Without a Crew.

thats different, bad taste didnt have an alien carrying a ring to mount doom on the cover. this cover gives the impression its in the same style as sin city. no one would make that mistake with bad taste.

still i am looking forward to owning this.
