Dead & Breakfast

Essentially a Shuan of The Dead rip off, it tries too hard to be funny. The jokes fail more often than not. Shaun actually had clever dialogue and situations. These guys just don't know how to write good comedy.
But it's got plenty of gore and I'm always a sucker for a House Surrounded By Zombies flick.

I checked this out a couple of weeks ago. Bad jokes? Yes. Cheezy effects? Sure. But I sort of dug it too. The little musical segues were amusing. And I enjoyed the 'Thriller' tribute. "We're comin' to kill ya! We're comin' to kill ya!"

Worth seeing at least once.

There's some decent zombie stuff, but the humor pretty much fell totally flat for me.

If the jokes were actually funny, this would be a much better movie. But they're not. They're tired and obvious. But they don't sink the film.

There's a similar movie out there that had the same ratio of humor to horror, THE CONVENT (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0217331/). It's been awhile, but I seem to remember this pulled off the humor effectively.

I thought this was WAY funnier than Shaun of the Dead (which I really hated). not a great movie but at least a little different. singing cowboy and shit, WTF. he couldn't sing for shit though.

Day Of The Dead 2: Contagium is funniest of all though. oh man, retards + zombie gas cannister. people are shitting on this one for no good reason, it's GREAT.

We rented both Dead & Breakfast and Undead a few weeks ago and they were both essentially the same movie...not really that funny, trying hard to mask a tired plot. What was the point of The Carradine even being in that flick? He's in there for five minutes then has a heart attack for NO reason. weaksauce.

I recall previously expressing my sadness/confusion about that statement.

You just made Baby Jesus cry...

I dig Undead's low-budget vibe. The last act made zero sense to me, but ah well.

Dead Breakfast was all over the place, but the musical number and the redneck greek chorus guy was fun.

The movie's dowfall though is the ER dude. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

I rented this one from good old Netflix. I thought it was, sadly, shite. And I even like Sisto! I thought Ever Carradine was kind of good in it, I guess. Palladino was game, as fucking usual. Pretty much a waste, though.

Dead and Breakfast was shit for trying so fucking hard and failing every single time it tried to be funny.
I know people have pretty much said this above, but it bears repeating.

I am also offended by the notion that this was somehow funnier than Shaun of the Dead. I guess people still love forced, shlocky slapstick.

I got this movie at a gamestop used for 5.99. I had only seen the trailer for it and figured since it was only 5.99 I should get it. I liked it and found it to be funny, although it is in no way better than shaun of the dead. That movie rules over this movie big time. I saw it with a friend and he liked it also. My only qualm is that I got the r-rated version and not the unrated version. I didn't know about an unrated version until later.
