I was reading in another thread about how most peoples porn collections still exist on old VHS tapes. The grainy, washed-out image works great to make everyday people look like gods and godesses.

Sooner or later, porn will have to make its way into High Definition territory.
Every line, pock mark, zit, wrinke and flaw will be on-screen for the perverts of the world to see.

Has anyone watched porn in HD yet? Do you think HD will hurt the adult film genre once the flaws of all these "perfect looking" people can no longer be covered up?

I haven't watched any in HD yet, but some of the dvds I own show all the little ass zits and things you don't want to see. They really need to work on lighting and body makeup.

I dunno. it seems that the Porn studios who could afford to produce on HD are the more up-scale studios (Vivid, etc.), in which case I'm sure they've got professional make-up people to take care of that. Not to mention extremely attractive ladies who probably wouldn't have that many flaws to begin with.

Maybe I'm wrong though.

Digital cameras have also changed layouts in magazines. I picked up a Hustler that was out of it's baggie at Hastings a while back. I was suprised to see razor bumps, bikini stubble, and bruises on the model. Those 2 million mega-pixel digital cameras pick up everything.

I suppose it's more realstic for the pornstars to look natural, but porn has mostly been about fantacy. Most guys don't get to have a three-some with 2 hot chicks when they deliver a pizza.

Except for maybe Vin Diesel.
