Crazy game merchandise

Can anyone think of any examples of wacky game merchandise or promotional tat? I'm thinking along the lines of the Dead or Alive pillow, the Ninja Gaiden leather wristband or the Dead or Alive bikinis.

Obviously, non-Tecmo ideas are required. Also, it'd help if they were Xbox related.

There's the locked metal briefcase that 360 accessories come in with review units.

The blood-stained Suffering Ties That Bind wifebeater.

The wooden scimitar for Skies of Arcadia Legends.

The tin of 'snake meat' for Metal Gear Solid 3.

You talking just game related merchandise, or promotional controllers and crap as well?

Anything really. Stuff you can buy in the store is preferred, but far-out promotional stuff that turns up on Ebay is good too.

Well then, RE4 chainsaw (it comes in some kind of glass case thing, local game store has one on display) and Onimusha 3 Katana controllers.

The Steel Battallion controller comes to mind. Mine is gathering dust in the garage as we speak...

Does the fucker even FIT in your garage?

I'm out of the loop for this thread. My days of retail have yielded only a Donkey Kong Country crate o' goodies (shirt, banana pen, etc.) and a (surprisingly low-key) Space Channel 5 shirt. Not exactly what you're asking for, I'd wager.

But I DO want that chainsaw.

Does it get any weirder than Nintendo Mario/Zelda cereal?

The Dragon Quest Blue Slime controller is kind of wacky.

Pretty much every game with a cartoon had a cereal, if I recall correctly.

I didnt get it but I remember around the time of one of the latest PS2 Resident Evil games you would get some sort of "Kit" for preordering the title. It came with what looks like a Fire Granade from RE4 but I think it was healing medicine or something.

It looked really neat and I wanted to buy it but couldnt. And if you guys havent seen the airsoft gun of the RE1 Replica it's pretty awesome. Ive only seen it on Ebay.

But the Mario/Zelda box had two.... two.... two cereals in one!

You could say to yourself: "do I want to eat Goombas or Octoroks today?"

Actually, there's quite a few more, according to an otaku hacker that created a Human Interface Device Profile for Windows PC's. Somehow I get the impression that Venkman's roommate wasn't a big fan.

Check the Ars Technica link: http://arstechnica.com/journals/thum...005/10/23/1607

Haven't had time to install it for myself, though.

I do remember a cheap plastic ocarina came with one of the Gamecube versions of Zelda.

Final Fantasy potions. That is, beverages licensed by Square and branded as Potion from the Final Fantasy game series. Take a look.
