Star Wars: Bounty Hunter ruled my house for months. Awesome game. So where's by Boba follow up?
Shit! I forgot it at the store. My bad.

I also enjoyed the hell out of that game.

You're fired. Get out of my sight.

Boba Fett? Hell, I just want my Xbox 360 version of Tie Fighter, in native 1080i and widescreen, with in-cockpit views and full Live! support. And while we're at it, a custom joystick! Yeah, that's the ticket!

Christ, I'm hopeless.

I'd buy an Xbox 360 if they came out with such a game. Tie Fighter remains one of my favorite PC games ever. As jaded as I am about Star Wars in general, I'd have to buy that game if it came out.

I'd say BATTLEFRONT 2 has the closest feel, experience wise, to the X-Wing/TIE Fighter games.

Plus, you can occasionally play as Fett. It's a poor substitute for a full fledged Fett game, but setting people on fire is always fun.

Sure, if you can outrun the cops....

Where's my "Boba Fett Screamin' Like a Sissy as he Plummets into the Gaping Maw of an Alien Hypometabolic after being Swatted by a Blind Man Holding a Stick" simulator?

This is the closest you'll ever come.

In 1984 when that joke ran out of gas.

TIE Fighter isn't just one of my favorite PC games, I think it still stands as one of the greatest games on any platform ever.

Of course, I've never actually compiled a list. But I'm pretty sure.

Just to show you what a pathetic shell of a man Star Wars fandom once left me, I played all the way through Masters of Teras Kasi. I unlocked every damned thing in the game. After I got a PS2, I picked up a copy of it on eBay and tried it again. Apparently, my disease had gone into remission, because it scarred my soul.

Sorry, I was two then.

These things are cyclical. The fact remains: Fett failed me.

The SW TV show starting next year that takes place in between SITH and A NEW HOPE is about Bounty Hunters. Lucas Arts said they'll be making games based on the show. So it's a good bet that Boba Fett will be in there.

Still, David, it's great to know that somebody else shares my love for this underrated gem!

BTW, just how creepy were those Bando Gora cult members? Ugh!!

Which show is that, the live action, or the CGI toon? I'm guessing the CGI toon.

Where's most of Lucas Arts' games? They have this new studio from hell, and we've seen...2 games? 3? One adaptation of the movie, and 2 shootem ups, neither of which I really enjoyed.

We don't get games from them that'll be classics anymore?

if they ever do a sequel to Mercenaries with co-op/internet capabilites I'd buy whatever system it would come out for...

someone needs to make a god damned space action game in the same mold as Freespace/Wing Commander/X-Wing/Tie-Fighter; that genre has been ignored far too long by the various gaming platforms and now with the 360/ps3 they can do so many great things with the hardware available.

According to my friend at ILM it's the live action series.

Kreeper! Hey, mate -- long time no see, and good to meet another fellow scarred veteran of Komari's female vicissitudes. (Originally bought the PS2 version, then sold it when I bought my GameCube not long thereafter, albeit having to start all the way from scratch.)

For me, though, that f****ing Death Stick Factory was my ultimate bete noire, causing me to give up on it for weeks after repeated rides upward in that cauldron, ALMOST making it to the end of the level.

Again and again and again.

Yea, I have walked through the valley of the shadow of death. Festoon me with garlands and flay the servants -- for, another week later, I finally trolloped that bitch.

And by the end of it, felt that Jango was a long-time friend, and the person I would most trust to have my back if I ever had to fight gorilla men with sticks.

Leto! How goes it? Good to hear from you, friend.

Yeah, that Deathstick Factory level was a b*tch! Good to know you have such great taste in videogames.

I always thought the story to BOUNTY HUNTER was awesome (in some ways more interesting than Episode II). I totally agree with you about Jango. I think Temura Morrison did a fantastic job. Jango's such a fascinating character. I loved his relationship with Roz. I also think that Montross has one of the coolest cinematic intros in film or gaming history. And how cool was it to learn the origin of Slave I and Zam Wessel? I also loved the way that even Palpatine thought the Kamari Vosa was threat - despite the fact she hated the Jedi.

To me BOUNTY HUNTER is one of the best STAR WARS videogames ever -- both gameplay and storywise (and, yes, I've played X-WING). I just don't know why it got the hate it did when it came out.

I've only got the PS2 one. I hear the levels are identical on both versions (with the Cube having slightly better textures). Is it true? How are the controls on the Game Cube?

But that last level creeped out just as much as anything I'd seen in SILENT HILL or FATAL FRAME. Especially when you have to go through the desrted city and you hear the Bando Gora lurking in the shadows...

Kreeper,

Sorry it took me two weeks to answer your question, hadn't checked this thread in a while.... Anyway, yeah, dude, those Bando Gora f-ers gave me no end of trouble. Too awhile to get past them. And that Death Stick factory pissed me off to high heaven. I lost count of how many times I fell down a frigin pipe or got electrocuted. Getting past that was a catharsis to say the least.

What really got me about this game was the rich backstory it presented. It answered alot of the unanswered questions many of us had. Definitely looking to see what the TV series has to offer also.
