Liberty City Stories for PS2!?

Sorry if this has been brought up before but lately I have really been drooling over GTA Liberty City Stories for the PSP but I refuse to buy the game system for one game(that and I don't need to play games every place I go).

What are the odds that in the next 6 to 12 months this game is actually given the PS2 treatment? I mean GTA 3 and Vice City were "PS2 Exclusives" for about a year and then were ported over to XBOX and PC. Thoughts?

Liberty City Stories is one of the best reasons to buy a PSP, and for that I'm sure Sony would want it to stay just on that system to encourage people to buy more PSPs. Second, on the PS2 I feel it would be a bit of a step backward from San Andreas.

But hey, who knows? I can't say it won't happen. I just seriously doubt it.

Looks like it IS happening, according to Take 2:

"Additional products expected for fiscal 2006 include the newly announced Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories for PlayStation 2"
