Your questions for Uwe Boll

Yep, i'm gonna ask the Bloodrayne director all your questions (within reason). Let me know what you want to hear.
Ask him about the idea some people have that He exploits a german tax law, and intentionally makes bad films that won't make their money back at the B.O but he and the investors will clean up during tax season and when it's released on dvd.
ask him if he is ever going to venture out of the video game genre.
ask him about the hypothetical situation as follows:

if i give him my $8.50 that he feels he deserves, will he kill himself, like i think he deserves?
Is he into Scheiße porn?
1. Why are you so awesome.

2. Ask him if he is a fan of the Lucas Arts adventure games... Monkey Island, Loom and would he consider making them into films.

3. What was his favorite film of last year?

If He makes Monkey Island i'm holding you personally responsable.
If he could remake any one movie or franchise, which one and what element of it would he change of it?
What do you think of your movies......seriously?

Do you plan on learning how to make films one day?

Why dont you just die?
1) When did you first accept Satan as your personal Lord and Savior?

2) How many sacrafices are required per month to maintain your career? Animal or Human? Both?

3) How many more films must we endure before Armageddon?

Come on, I know the Corner isn't as predictable as this- anyone got any more real questions for him? (thanks to those that gave legitimate ones)

And Monkey Island is indeed coming- with Ashton Kutcher as Guybrush, Britney Spears as Elaine Marley and Clint Howard as LeChuck.
Sorry, couldn't resist. Besides that though, I've read interviews with the guy before, and he is not operating on the level of reality. He truly thinks he is doing good work. I'm not sure if any questions would actually provide insightful answers, but we may get a further glimpse into his insanity. Good Luck, either way.
How do hell do you manage to get so many a-list actors in your movies ?
Joke "why do you suck" questions are neither original, or funny, or useful. Give it a rest.
It's known that you obtain most of your financing from German investors who are protected under a tax loophole. But as I'm sure you know, this loophole will be closed in January 2006. How do you think this will effect the way you make movies?
Is there a movie that he thinks was underrated this past year?

When making video-game related movies who comes first: The fans of said games or the regular moviegoing public?
Ask him what he thought were the worst movies of last year.
I genuinely want to know what his long-term plans are, in terms of what he's trying to achieve, and what he would consider his dream project.
With Dungeon Seige already filming (or probably done ), I also want to know what he feels has enabled him to be so prolific lately. Most filmmakers agonize for years just to get one film out the door, and it seems Boll's off shooting another movie the second he gets one in the can.
1. Is the new Producers movie (or the musical) loosely based on someone you know or -who knows- maybe even financed your work?

2. Ever heard of this really hot script in town/perfect for you to direct called "Springtime for Hitler"? (Maybe that one you'd have to ask him very quickly so as to pick his interest)

wonk fucking wonk.
What draws you to the videogame to film genre?

Do you have any original ideas you've been tossing around?

Do you anticipate the change in German tax law next year to effect your ability to continue to get films financed?

The blog for 'Bloodrayne' is woefully incomplete. Any reason you started and then you and the cast quickly abandoned it?

What originally made you want to direct films?
What do you feel was your worst movie? And why?
What would be your dream casting for the Postal movie? Also is anyone "in talks" to play any roles (besides Gary Coleman)?

Who was favorite/least favorite person to work with on Dungeon Siege and why?

Ninjas make anything better, what's with the awesome ninjas in Dungeon Siege?

Would you ever like to make a film with the band Rammstien? Maybe direct a video of theirs? What would the video or film be like?

What would you say to your harshest critics? Are they taking your movies too seriously?

Thank you for pushing for nudity and gore in your films, what do you think about the level of gore and nudity in American films? Do Americans need to lighten up?

Stop it. Seriously.
Im actually curious if he is aware of his own reputation, and how does it feel to be at the receiving end of so much hostility, particularly from people who probably haven't ever seen his films.
Has he ever read message boards like this one and seen what has been written about him?
Thats got to get to a guy, no matter how talentless he is perceived to be.

Also, what are his favourite movies of 2005 and which film makers currently working does he most admire and why?

Any director whose dream project is Postal deserves the criticism he gets.

That's the best Christmas present any Corner reader could hope for.

That was Awesome.
Merry Xmas everyone!

A mystery for the ages.....

It's simply inconceivable how this man has been able to procure what is seemingly an endless supply of funding for his numerous stink-hole projects.

No less baffling is the alarming rate that he's acquired the rights to these properties to begin with. It's as if the video game publishers have never seen any of his prior work, or more likely they just cash the checks and could give a rats ass about the quality of the films. I refuse to believe the actual development companies of these games would knowingly allow these cinematic travesties to be made out of their labors of gaming love, seeing that the average development time is 2-3 years, considerably longer than most films.

Now in all honesty, I must confess to having seen only his infamously awful adaptation of the Sega Arcade Light-Gun Shooter "House of the Dead". I am confident that viewing is all I need in the way of evidence that Mr. Boll is the directorial equivalent of a William Hung rendition of "She Bangs".

I imagine a scenario much like Don Ameche and his brother in "Trading Places", where their bottomless cophers of investment are offered up to Boll in an amusingly light hearted wager between the siblings. With one of them absolutely confident in the fact that no matter how much money you throw at Uwe, and regardless of how many times he gets a chance to knock one out of the park, he ultimately will pinch out nothing more than what should rightfully be a direct to video turd that will never be seen as fit to be released anywhere but in Bratislava.

He answered my question! Yes!

*Kirk Gibson fist pump*
That really was something else.

Loved it.

"Far Cry?

full financed, we go for THE ROCK or Jason Stham"

I know the guy isn't good at english, I won't knock him for that it's understandable, it's better than my German anyway. But when you can't spell the lead actor's in your current film's name in a email interview ( meaning, you have all the time in the world to look up the correct spelling if you don't know it off hand), YOU ARE A IDIOT!

I take that back if it's a Instant messenger interview, cause that involves fast typing and little ability to correct.
From the interview:

"Q: What was it like working with Meat Loaf?

A: he had a lot of fun with all the prostitudes"

Wow. That is poetry

Once again another idiot who believes that typing and grammar equal intelligence over the internet.

It was over email, not instant messanger.

I can understand he's probably got a lot of these things to do, but damn, he could've put more than a few minutes into it. Still, cracked me up.

And this is yet another reason why I wanted legitimate questions from people- I knew they were going to be just as funny as the joke ones.

Once again, Milkyway being a completely useless douche.

After reading that interview then scrolling back up to look at his picture, it has all become so clear.

See? Uwe Boll works magic! It's proven.
I think it knocked the flu right into me in some sort of karmic balancing act.

I see that for some inexplicable reason that Milkyway has decided to become a Uwe Boll fan and defender.
And get real, guy. Bad Grammar and Really bad Spelling are going to make you look stupid to 95% of the people out there. Fact of life, buddy.
And that ain't gonna change in the near future.

The Boll interview gave me the biggest laugh I have had for a while.

I particularly enjoyed his "answer" to your question.

'The next three are financed.'
Roughly translated to "Well, that's a terrific question, and it seems people have caught on to my secret. Luckily, a number of my investors were able to get me their money prior to the change in tax law this year. As a result, the next three films are financed. After that, my career is over."
Does the 3 include Dungeon Siege? It means either 6 or 7 multi-million dollar films in about the same number of years, from all of which he will undoubtedly pull a hefty director's/writer's/producer's fee.

Not a bad way to spend a decade.

Not to mention the body of work he will leave behind.

Notice what is being advertised here at CHUD today?
That Nick can make some cash to keep this site going is just about the only serious, positive contriubtion to anything I have seen Uwe Boll do.

Underline Serious. Boll has provided a great deal of amusment because he is just about the biggest buffoon, and therefore best target the film industry has seen for some time.

It's funny, the other sites are all getting interviews with Boll now. Funny because they don't read nearly as badly as mine. Either they're editing them up or he doesn't care about the Corner, because they're suprisingly coherent.

Glad people are digging this little piece, though. I've gotten more email about this than about anything else i've written for the site yet.
