Didnt really have much too say about Fahey, but she said Ironside was an absolute gent, although he was a bit of a cheeky chappy with her. Not sure what she means by that though. Ill continue to press her and find out!

Just a shame there's been nothing decent recently in terms of good tough action chick performances. Unless one counts DEATH PROOF.

I vividly remember seeing CHARLIE'S ANGELS: FULL THROTTLE with a girl and praying the experience would be worthwhile. Not even the Bruno cameo could save that film!

Wonder if that means Ironside was flirting with this young lady, putting his patented moves on her.

Watched an old episode of Miami Vice last night. Surprised to see Liam Neeson (as an ex-IRA Terrorist) and Jeff Fahey in it. That show sure had some special guest stars.

Liam Neeson? I couldn't believe it.

Of course he was cheeky--mother fucker was in SCANNERS!!!

And TOP GUN dammit!!!!!

Check out DOOMSDAY when you're able to. That sets the standard when it comes tough chicks, at least for this year.

No way would I want my lady within 100 yards of Michael Ironside. How can a regular Joe compete with that?
Totally forgot about DOOMSDAY.

And Ironside was in STARSHIP TROOPERS too dammit!!

MIAMI VICE sure had an impressive roster of guest stars.

Yeah, that's the classic 3rd season opener. Neeson was tops and his love scene with the gal who played Gina was highly erotic, at least by network TV standards. Too bad Neeson had to try and shoot down a 747 with a Stinger missile. Otherwise he seemed like a good catch for Gina.
Yeah, if you ever meet a special lady who knows/has known both Michael Ironside & Powers Boothe...walk away. You haven't got a chance.
Im pretty sure he didnt try to scan her or anything. If he did I dont think I'd be talking to her right now, she'd of been sucked dry.

Staying on the Ironside theme, did he ever get his own shot at being an action hero goodguy? I know he's Sam Fisher in the Splinter Cell games.

He could of made a bad ass hero.

I wonder if there's some ageing hussy out there who did the rounds in the 80s and bedded all our favourite stars.

Just throwing that out there. What tales she could tell!
OK, Arnie's arming himself in a glorious gun montage. Let's see if this flick kicks up a notch now.

I'd say "First Super Model" (whatever the hell that means) Janice Dickinson comes closest. She nailed Stallone, Kelly LeBrock, and had a 3-way with Dolph and Grace Jones. Way to hoe, Janice!

Wonder if there was some freak with a helicopter fetish, that can brag she landed both Roy Scheider & Jan-Michael Vincent!!

A 3 way with Dolph and Grace Jones. Fuck me I bet thats the most intense sex you could have. I think Id much rather fuck dolph though.
The prospect of anybody in a 3-way with Dolph and Grace is alternately hilarious/terrifying.

I imagine that Grace would give you the time of your life though. Or she'd put you off women forever.

One of the two.
Good enough for James Bond, good enough for me.
I just wish Dolph and Grace Jones would have had a kid together. I have no doubt that their offspring would have become our galaxy's supreme ruler.

Raw Deal is a big pile of shit. Nothing else to be said. Its now over and Im really glad. Worst Arnie film other than Junior and Batman and Robin
post #15820 of 95746
Once Arnie got the leather jacket on and started blowing fools away, it picked up. If only the rest of the movie could have done that!

When you've got a successful formula, don't mess with it.
Did you really expect much from a movie where Arnie infiltrates La Cosa Nostra with his Austrian accent? I don't think that movie was concerned with being what we would normally call "good".
For me, Schwarzenegger is so perfect in the first two TERMINATOR films, it overshadows nearly everything else.

Oh how I wish we'd gotten another taste of his "evil" Terminator in T3.
Holy christ that final scene is awful.

Am I just a misery guts or did everyone else wanna throw up at that bit? Did it warm the cockles of anyone's heart?

Wow, I had no idea, but apparently there is a new Batman movie coming out. This summer! Awesome.

EDIT: Doing my perrenial sticking up for RED HEAT. Might be my favorite non cyborg Arnold role.

That's quite the catch, I don't think the animated series is available in the U.S. I used to watch it as a kid but I couldn't tell you if its held up. I remember enjoying it when I saw it but that was a long time ago. I mostly remember Conan had a sidekick parrot or some other animal who loved to eat pomegranates. I also remember the first line of the theme song.

CONAN!
The adventurer!

CONAN!
Man of bravery!

Total Recall is badassssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

Its got on of my favourite Verhoeven moments when the guy on the escalator gets shot about 20 times with those giant Rob Bottin squids going off. I love that moment.

Wish there was a fully uncut version of that knocking around. Id love that and Hard Target to get proper directors cuts

BATMAN you say? Hmmm, you should start a thread for it here on the boards. For my money there just hasn't been enough BATMAN talk of late.

RED HEAT over PREDATOR? TOTAL RECALL? RUNNING MAN?

Oops. I was thinking it was either you or HGEC. Sorry, Jim! I guess I'll never win your love By the end of the month I'll try to finally get around to seeing True Romance!

I know that Rush Hour 3 was recently brought up. I saw it on the big screen last summer, and boy was that a mistake. I enjoyed the first two (flaws aside), but the third one was pure shit. There was hardly any action at all, first off (it was more a comedy with some action rather than the other way around), and the "comedy" was awful, as already brought up with some of Tucker's bigoted comments towards Iranians and others. For me, once they got into a fight FOR NO REASON with that 7 foot 9 guy from China who's a basketball player in real life (Sun Ming Ming), that's where the film lost me, and the bad plot, Tucker's almost minstrel act that his character played, and the bad idea of Roman Polanski playing someone who enjoys body cavity searches... it's so much worse than the first two.

Oddly enough, Chris Tucker (who I usually don't mind THAT much) has a house-one of a few all across the country-that isn't too far from where I live. I understand it's a huge place and I believe I actually passed by it when I took a different route home from work. Judging by its size I wouldn't be surprised if it was his. Before you ask, no I've never come across him in person. Imagine my shock if I saw him at say, a local videostore or at the grocery store buying milk and a loaf of bread.

watch Doomsday when it come out on DVD

I have an irrational love for Red Heat. Walter Hill gets me all dreamy eyed.

Not that there's anything wrong with the one's you mentioned. Except Running Man. That one kind of bores me to tears as an adult.

I once met the guy who played the doctor in the Recall facility a few years prior to his death in a Tony Romas. Yes, he was in fact eating. Of course I remembered him as the principle from Picket Fences at the time.

I'll say this, the action in RUNNING MAN doesn't do much for me. I just love it for all the personality it offers. Between Arnold, Richard Dawson, Jesse Ventura, and even Mick Fleetwood it's the odd casting that keeps it a favorite of mine.

The casting of Mick Fleetwood was a slap in the face to Gene Simmons!

I had a discussion with a friend a while back about whether Mick Fleetwoods character was just called Mick to stop him from being confused. He looks like a right weird bugger.

Isnt one of Frank Zappa's offspring in Running Man as well?

Hercules in New York (1970) is the worse Arnie pict by a hair

Yeah, Dweezil Zappa is one of the freedom fighters.

Plus, Dawson still has the best reply ever to "I'll be back."
I seem to notice a certain omission when it comes to discussing Arnie's movies. One of his best in my view. That being PUMPING IRON.
Jingle All The Way.

Does anybody remember THE VILLIAN with Kirk Douglas?
Correction, you mean THE NUMBER ONE COMEDY SMASH HIT JINGLE ALL THE WAAAAYYYY!

I can't remember what site it was but somewhere had a series of still images depicting a psychotic Arnie's attempts to get the gang together again for JINGLE ALL THE WAY 2. I loved it.
So sad to see all that RAW DEAL bashing. I never found it as boring as you guys. Maybe it has something to do with being British.

As for the first two TERMINATOR flicks, they definitely fall behind COMMANDO, PREDATOR, THE RUNNING MAN, and TOTAL RECALL in my books.

TOTAL RECALL is probably my favorite at the moment, but I have much love for RUNNING MAN because of some of the reasons outlined by Molti. The action isn't spectacular, but the casting and atmosphere really makes it a lot of fun. The "climbing for dollars" show also isn't very far fetched when you look at today's television landscape.
Jingle would have been better if Arnold had said ROCK EM SOCK EM JETPACK more. Also, the fight where he hits midgets with a giant candy cane should have been longer.

I'm ashamed to say I haven't gotten around to that one yet. Heard great things about it for years.

Said this before, but END OF DAYS is one of Schwarzenegger's worst......but has one of his best performances. Coming off the heart attack, he had this world-weary, beaten down quality. Shame the movie couldn't deliver or escape the hype.
(Will say, original ending just might've turned me around!)
