Catchy.

I ask the same about the UK when I see the Black-Eyed Peas topping the charts.

I have to admit, I love the Blue Suede version of this song, and if I'd only heard Hasselhoff's version, I probably would have thought, "Okay, no worse than the original."

But good god, that video.... I mean, did he go back in time to 1984 and make that?

The success of the Black-Eyed Peas makes me question many things. Like God.

The song "My Humps" brings to mind Bill Hicks' oft-misconstrued comment about Hitler.

Wow... I mean his voice isn't bad, but that video. What the hell was that?

My co-worker is having a Friday the 13th birthday for her son's 13th birthday. Today I convinced her to add David Hasselhoff's version of Limbo to the dance cd she was burning. I'm sure the kid will love me for it... you are only 13 once.

The Black-eyed Peas- I never thought about them before except to be annoyed by them when those same couple of songs kept coming on the internet radio station my co-worker had going. Last night I was playing The Urbz: Sims in the City after work since I got it for Christmas. I kept thinking every song sounded like the Black-eyed Peas. I found out today that it was indeed the Black-eyed Peas with all of the songs sung in "sim-ish". I even ran into some of the sim-version band members. It was all very strange and disturbing.

The people at Conan must be having a field day.

Favorite moments:

Hasselhoff dressed in a bigass parka sliding (actually just standing and motioning wildly) while the background blares generic mountain countryside.

Hasselhoff in a cocktail party then blasting off like a Patriot missile.

Hasselhoff in big-ass parka snatching the most fake-looking fish prop I've ever seen with his mouth, like the bizarrely popular seal that he is. Oh did I mention that he was snowboarding at the time?

A bunch of randam Maori clansman jumping around a miniturized version of the Hass.

Germany has just picked up the most wtf? nation award from their eternal rivals, Japan.

Edited to say that I'm pretty sure I saw the fellating bear from the Shining pop up a couple times in that video. Lateness due to frantic suppresing.

The Hasselhoff rocks. Anyone have the album?

I swear he humps himself in the middle.

I have a German friend at work that loves "the Hoff". Germans really take this shit serious like.

Yes, in England I suffer under the Black Eyed Peas. And Scissor Sisters. Thank you, America. If I have to hear that sub 70's Elton John one more time, I'll just cry. Why do the Brits have such weird taste? I've lived here almost 4 years and still don't get them sometimes.

Did Uwe Boll direct that music video? Looks like his style.

There was a time, about 10 years ago, when the British music scene, indeed the entirety of the charts (excluding things like Mr Blobby) was excellent and probably the most interesting int he world. Then the Spice Girls came along and, while they themselves did not destroy pop music, their cheap imitators did. The UK chart has been in decline ever since.

I'm glad someone else is grated by the Scissor Sisters. I actually like a couple of their songs, but their over-exposure is a perfect example of what's wrong over here. There is so little that is interesting, original or even half-decent that as soon as someone comes on the scene, they are declared the saviours of music and hyped to death quite literally. See also The Darkness. Now, Scissor Sisters just irritate me because, whereas once I thought they were kind of campy and upbeat, now I just think they're pretty shit compared to their unjustified sales. As for Franz Ferdinand, don't get me started.... People, check out Editors and Elbow and then tell me Franz Ferdinand are worth a shit (Take Me Out excluded).

Here endeth the rant.

I am now officially more frightened of this thread than I am of the camel spiders in the "three things you're afraid of" thread.

That last photo is a crime against nature. I feel sorry for the dog in the compromising position (assuming this isn't just a photoshop job).

I wish you guys wouldn't knock on the Hoff. He knocked over the Berlin Wall.
Anyone who knocks the 'hoff finds themselves looking up at the man himself standing over you as you sleep, you hear a *pop* and then he quietly says 'congratulations, you've been Hoffalized'

This is supposedly a new Pepsi ad in Australia:

Can any Aussie's confirm that they've seen this? It seems to good to be true.

Nice catch. That photo appears to be a different ad, but definitely lends credence to their authenticity.

Yep. it's real, I've seen it posted around Sydney along with another poster with the 'Hoff in it, I couldn't find it online though.
