Better Veronica Mars season 1 dvd set

I know they're supposed to be releasing a better version of S1 on dvd but haven't found the release date for it. Have they scrapped this?

There were rumours of this when Rob Thomas got shafted with the release date for Season One, but I haven't heard anything lately. TVShowsOnDVD.com has no recent news, and they're usually pretty up to speed on these thing. I hope we would get a better version, but I'm not holding my breath. My guess is that they'll try to make up for the lack of extras with the Season Two release.

If there were more unused extras, they could just stick them with season 2.

I'm almost completely sure they won't release a new season 1 DVD and will probably try to make up for it on the season 2 DVDs, as others have already said.

Damn, if I had known that I would have bought the S1 set when it first came out. Ahh well, bdays coming up I'll just ask for it then.
