Awesome.
Goddamn, that made my day. Great stuff.
"Who the hell's Clara?!"

Loved it.
A kid at my school made this. Go Emerson College! And I can unbiasedly say that yes, that was fucking hilarious.
Fantastic.
Started the day off beautifully.
*sniff.
Whoever edited that is a genius. The cut between Marty talking to his mother in the car and he and Doc looking at each other sideways was just hysterical.
That was brilliance.
id see it
Thanks for that Capt - GOLD.
Thanks for the new sig!
oh man, that's probably my last laugh on U.S. soil for the next 5 months, and it was a good one. Thanks Cap.

Well at least I can do something right. Shit.
Hah!
Not nearly as good, but...

Top Gun Brokeback Squadron
Top Gun had enough homoerotic subtext as it was.
The Top Gun video isn't working for me, but I doubt I'm missing much, since that movie is much gayer than Brokeback Mountain in the first place.
Reminded me of this Shining parody, although far more hilarious.
The Back to the Future one is great. Top Gun, not so much.
That... was a real stretch.
Brokeback to the Future=pure comedy gold. Thanks for posting it!

Subtext?

I sense an internet fad...
Chuck Norris destroyed the Internet because there were too many fads.
That was excellent!

Oddly I now want to go to best buy and pick up the collection on dvd (if they have friggen widescreen).

Scary 'Mary Poppins'

Rather than make a new thread...

Scary 'Mary Poppins' Trailer.

I think it works brilliantly.

EDIT: Probably old, but new BIG trailer was a hoot.
I'm quite a fan of West Side Zombie.

Yeah, that one's great.

These don't top Scary Poppins or The Shining one, but...

Home Alone Recut

The Ring Recut

Garden State Recut

American Pie Trailer - Re-Cut

School of Rock - Recut trailer
They're all hilarious, but I was in tears during "The Shining" trailer. That was the funniest thing I've seen in a long time.
Scary Poppins is probably my favorite, but the Shining one is good as well. All the other movies recut to look like horror movies got a little old.
Even though it's a little shoddier than some of them, technically speaking, Shining understands movie trailer cliches better than any of them. The moment Salsbury Hill kicks in, it's perfection.
If this is to become a repository for these things:
Top Gun Re-Cut
Lion King Re-Cut
American Batman (American Psycho + Batman)
The Usual Suspects Re-Cut
American Beauty Re-Cut
The Terminator (Romantic Comedy)
Heat Re-Cut
Must Love Jaws
10 Things I Hate About Commandments
Taxi Driver (Romantic Comedy cut)
Shining

I like the ones that take darker films and make them lighter, personally, but that West Side Story one was great. Must Love Jaws, Taxi Driver and Heat are also pretty good.
Must Love Jaws was inspirational. It makes me want to be a better Chewer.

EDIT:
That Jim Carrey is crazy...
ACE VENTURA
Dumb and Dumber Horror Spoof

I DO NOT like when they try to match up dialogue with someone else's lip-sync (cause it almost NEVER works), but this still made me chuckle:
Anchorman Recut
Seeing Brick on that bear with the background noise is what did it for me.

I was already laughing my ass off, but I was sitting at my laptop positively howling when Salsbury Hill kicked in.

"Must Love Jaws" sounds brilliant - damn the "No volume on the work computers" rule here. Damn them, I say!

The "Home Alone" one was okay, but the one really priceless moment I'll give it was Catherine O'Hara running through the airport with the scary music playing behind her. It absolutely changes her from "Worried Mother" to "About to be chopped up if she doesn't run faster."
The people that did Must Love Jaws also did a trailer called "10 things I hate about Moses" which featured Samuel L. Jackson as the voice of God.
I can't view it right now, but I think that's one of the links Patrick included, Ed - "10 Things I Hate About Commandments".
It was actually "10 Things I Hate About Commandments", as I linked above. It's not as well put together as some of the other trailers, but it finds a new game by trying to make Cecil B. DeMille totally phat. The Pharoah going "No doubt..." is rather great.
My mistake, I hadn't looked thru every post. Disregard what I said two posts ago folks. I blame my mistake on starting yet another work day and discovering there are plans to do a Near Dark remake. There's only so much a man can go thru in 20 minutes.

It is greatness and perfectly edited for the vibe they were paying homage to.

Finally watched them at home - Must Love Jaws is every bit as brilliant as I thought it would be, and 10 Things I Hate About Commandments is great too.
I didn't think it was funny. I mean, what's so funny about two consenting adults engaging in some horseplay.
Some of these are great. The ones that use the re-orchestrated Requiem for a Dream theme are not. Talk about overkill.
I could have sworn that there was another thread full of these things, but I'll state that 10 Things I Hate About Commandments is my favorite. Samuel Jackson as Principal Firebush just works.

RAMSES: No doubt.
