I am curious how many threads this film needs. Are we halfway there?
Nope. We need at least sixty more. Two-dozen on the marketing campaign alone.

I was hoping this thread, particularly you, Helix, would be classy enough not to do the obvious. Frankly, I'm disappointed.

Oh come on. That was the perfect opportunity.

I'm not above the obvious joke!

After seeing the pictures on Dark Horizons, I must say that this flick isn't looking that great. Whats with Juggernaut looking like a cenobite reject with the huge frankenstein boots? And his obviously fake muscles? I really hope that these pictures are just bad photos, and that the flick will look, and be way better than this. Ratner did good with Red Dragon, but that is the only flick of his I like. I hope that he does the same thing with this movie that he did with that one.

If by "good" you mean he made what was easily the fourth-best of the Lecter films, then I guess I agree.

Strangely, I'm not as turned off by all of the pre-release photos as everyone else seems to be. I'm not expecting great things though. Or even good things. After the improvement of X2 over X-MEN, it's a shame that the primary motivation for scrambling this film together so quickly is Tom Rothman's idiotic revenge against Bryan Singer.

I can't judge this film yet, as much as I want to (and as much as I am aware of Brett Ratner's capabilities- STILL hasn't made a good movie).

But it's impossible to ignore the marketing nightmare this has been, in regards to publicity stills, release dates, and now those character banners that are utterly schizo in regards to what type of film they are selling.

I'm all for a gloom and doom, apocalyptic X-Men picture, however, even if it keeps them from any future sequels (or limits them to a "Generation X" type franchise spawning from the ashes of this). I just wish it was under better terms.
