I notice they have some great bargains, but I've heard that the shipping is very slow. If you've ordered from there, how was the service?

Personally, I've always had great service from them. Unfortunately, two of my friends and my father have both had terrible experiences with their shipping. If you're going to buy from them, buy because of price, not because you want it quickly.

I ordered by Buffy Chosen One Collection from them. Took about 2 weeks.

Still, I got the set for $100. I'd say it was still worth it.

I live in Michigan and they are based out of Illinois, so i think we get things a little quicker in these parts. Me and a few of my friends have all used them (myself several times) and have had no complaints. Sure things might take a little longer to get where they are going, but just rest assured that they will get there, even if it takes a few extra days. For them to offer free shipping is great, but with this has to come the knowledge that it will not show up at your house the very next day.

I had a friend who did not recieve a DVD from them for 2 weeks, so he contacted them. They were apologetic, and offered him site credit for how ever much the DVD was he ordered, and they still shipped him out the product. I am sure this is not the case in every situation, but they realized they screwed up and took that extra step. Kind of nice for them to do.

I'm a fan. If yoiu wait for one of their bi-annual 20% off everything sales, it's a great spot to pick up Criterions and box sets.

I've gotten things the day before they were released, and I've waited a few weeks. They ship media mail, so it's slow-ish. If you need to see something IMMEDIATELY, you'll be upset. And will need to consider how spoiled you are..

It's a great site for stuff that you don't really need to watch ASAP. They ran a "Buy 1, get 1 free" box set sale during the holidays that was unreal. Best way to deal with them is to order what you want and tell yourself it will arrive in 3 weeks. Then when it only takes 2 or less you'll be satisfied.

I've had no complaints so far. Sure it's a little slow, but so what? They're reliable and the prices rock.

I've only ordered from them once, but will do so again. I'm live in Indiana, so I got my order in less than a week.

The only problem I had was receiving one boxed set that arriving with scratched discs, but this was the manufacturers fault (Warner Brothers, don't get me started) and not Deep Discount's. You can ship backed scratched discs for free by calling their customer support and they'll just send you a packing slip.

And, as others have stated, their 20% off sales rock.

I've ordered from them about 6-8 times and have only had OK service about 2 of those times.

I ordered a $5.99 DVD from them one time and it took almost a month for me to get it.

I've been ordering about 7 movies a month for about 2 years, and I've never had a problem. Shipping is free, so I suppose if you're worried about a problem, you could always just cough up the extra cash.

My only complaint is that I didn't pick up their out of print Anchor Bay ANGUISH disc while they still had them in stock.

To echo the others, yeah -- shipment is slow as...well, something that's really slow, unless you pay for the fast service.

On the other hand, their site says to contact them if something doesn't arrive within 15 days. My last shipment took too long, I wrote them, and two days later I had discs. 'Course, I don't know if the shipment I got was the original or the replacement they sent...
