I know a lot of kids today turn it off because of the lousy FX.

i've found that people who haven't seen OT don't really watch a lot of movies in general, or even much tv for that matter, or they're like six years old and too occupied with kicking my ass at XBOX, and although it's had an impact on my life, it's not top on the list of movies i'd recommend to anyone, except for maybe Empire, do i think they're crazy? yes, yes i do, but then people think i'm crazy for not knowing how to drive stick... someday, someday...

IGN just did a list of 25 DVDs that need to be released (Blade Runner SE, etc) and number one was the original OT (complete with mandatory jab to Lucas for not releasing it yet). The followed up with a mailbag with a lot of responses to the list. I was surpirsed at a couple of letters from kids in their teens that said they liked the SE versions over the originals. It really opened my eyes to how kids today must view us Gen Xers. They must roll their eyes over threads like this.

"There's only one 'Return' and it ain't of the King. It's of the Jedi!" - Randal Graves (Clerks 2)
