Matt - any friends in the U.S? Use a front. This is a pretty cool publicity gimmik by the way. very very anicipating slither. did you know gunn has a slither myspace page at www.myspace.com/slithermovie ?

Anyone else having trouble just playing the quicktime files? My quicktime tells me I'm missing some necessary component.

Probably need the latest version. Seems like everyone is going to the New QuickTime 7 format, which downloads damn ITunes with it whether you want it or not. Hit Apple's site to grab the latest.

Use the damn VLC media player. It's open source, available for every conceivable platform, plays anything and doesn't install any unnecessary crap: http://www.videolan.org/vlc
EDIT: There's even a Firefox plugin.

I used the flash version that they provided. I made one, mostly showing off what happens to Michael Rooker, and I sent it in. Here's hoping on my part.

I'm having the same trouble. I edited it on my own system, followed their instructions and it still tells me that the file size has been exceeded. They don't even list a size limit. I've even made it under 2MB.

Anybody else having a similar problem?

Update.

For anybody that's wondering. The problem I was having uploading my submission a few days ago has been solved. I'm sure it was something they did that it wasn't working in the first place. . .

I uploaded a 6.6MB Quicktime file without any problem today.

I submitted mine a few days ago. I thought I was all creative by making it look like a 50s drive-in horror movie preview, but then I re-read the "official rules" and realized that I didnt use they're special font...I then tried emailing them to see if I could retract the submission and re-submit it later, they didnt reply. I guess I'll see by 4pm eastern (12 pacific) if they decide to let it slide or not....needless to say I was REALLY bummed 'casue now its a waitin period to see if I get disqualified or not. I dont know why we had to use the font provided, they're gonna re-create whichever trailer they're gonna use anyways. Oh well.
