My starting pitching has more question marks than the Riddler, and I wish I'd taken Utley instead of The Chone, but I think it looks like a solid team. Need to trade some closers for some depth at SS or OF, though.

I was much happier with the middle and late portions of my draft. Which players made you scream in anger when they were snatched from your grasp? Huff? Cain? Ibanez/Casey?

Ibanez and Casey. Two solid performers.

Randy Winn just got a good deal with SF. Looks like it was a solid pick for my team.

"Can't Cut List"... is this a new thing this year? What's it used for?
it's been there the past year or two so people won't drop star players if they're way out of it i guess.

C - V. Martínez
1B - R. Sexson, Mi. Sweeney
2B - T. Iguchi, M. Ellis
3B - M. Ensberg
SS - J. Rollins
OF - J. Bay, P. Burrell, K. Griffey Jr., C. Floyd, M. Bradley, K. Mench

SP - Jo. Santana, P. Martínez, B. Myers, C. Lee, J. Lieber, L. Hernández, A. Harang
RP - B. Wagner, K. Wood

Not a bad team, overall. Oddly enough, rather Philly heavy, though I only targeted 2 Phillies and got neither (Utley and Howard). This is what happens when I let the autodraft work off my own list, I suppose.

I'm very light on relief, especially if Wood turns out to be primarily a starter, and too heavy in OF. Must fix this...

I think the Burrell trade is going to help me and Zissou. I had way too many closers, and he had guys who were going to hit 25+ HRs sitting on his bench.

I thought we'd see more wheeling and dealing (typically post-draft there's a whirlwind of activity on my part) but it looks like everyone's going to wait a while and see how their team develops.

I have so many injury risks among my SPs it's not even funny.

I usually wait until the last week of spring training to throw a deal out on the table.

"The Associated Press' John Nadel reports free agent SP Roger Clemens (Astros) hinted Thursday, Mar. 16, that his career was over following a U.S. loss to Mexico in a World Baseball Classic game that eliminated the U.S. squad. "For me, right now, it's goodbye," said Clemens."

NOOOOO!

i think he's full of it. he loves the attention.
Me too I bet he is pitching by July at the latest.

Free closer. Sweet. I don't know how much value the stopper for K.C. has, but Mr. Burgos is now mine.

Whoever (Nick) drafted MacDougal should try to make a play for Ambiorix before he starts mowing 'em down and becomes untradeable for less than a first born child or the title role in MEG.

Looks like it's going to be another near last place season for me.

I need advice... gotta clean up my team a bit. Thoughts?
My advice is that you pay more attention, and when guys like Fernando Rodney or Ambiorix Burgos become closers, grab them immediately.

You know where you're weak. Start trading.

If I knew I was weak, I would have started trading a long time ago.

I haven't paid attention to baseball at all for the past year.

Still sitting on Clemens though. Lord knows what's going to happen with that one.
I looked at Reitsma versus Rodney for a long time.....and earlier, REitsma versus Burgos.

I just can't stand Reitsma, I've decided. He did get the save yesterday, but looked like garbage doing it.

I watched the SD/SF game, and Peavy looked incredible.

The Associated Press' Doug Tucker reports Detroit Tigers C Ivan Rodriguez went 5-for-5 with three doubles, a homer and a single along with five RBI Wednesday, April 5.
Woo! Keep it up, Rodriguez! Nice 14-3 victory today.

I'm not a real big fantasy baseball player, but my bro-in-law needed another player for his league so they could do a live draft. I warned him that I wouldn't do the draft, and I wouldn't do anything with my team (change lineups, trade, etc.). He said that was fine, as they're all new to fantasy baseball anyway. That being said, here we are 2 weeks or so into the season, and true to my word, I've done nothing with my team--I let the CPU draft my team, and I haven't touched my line up. And I've also been in first place since day one. I e-mailed my bro-in-law last week and said, "You guys suck. I haven't touched my team and no one can catch me!"

I'm curious as to any new news on Clemens. I'm this close to dropping the fucker.

Dammit... StatTracker is gone. Forgot they pull that shit away from you after a number of weeks.

One turd for another

I can understand why you dropped Eddie, (Mofos) but why pick up another turd in Moyer?

I love Seattle... they're my team... but there are so many other pitchers out there that would be a better choice at the moment.

So... it looks like I'm going through 2B like they're going out of style... anyone else want to get thrown on the DL this week?

Just floating around here, and noticed this.

Well, Moyer did have some good starts, just can't get the win. Just like my team.

As you can probably tell, I was streaming my pitchers. And over my last 21 starts, I have 4 wins. 4 and 17. WTF?

Looks like my plan worked. For shit. I'm back in the fruit cellar after climbing up to 8. But I'll stick with it. Anything can happen.

I want to get out of this trailing hole I've been digging.

Might be willing to make a deal... if offered the right one.

(BTW: Before you ask... I. Suzuki stays with me.)
