Easter will make me fat

We're barely over the Valentine's Day season and already I'm having jelly-beans and chocolate and cupcakes shoved at me. I didn't used to have much of a sweet tooth, but over the past three months I've been insatiable in terms of sweet goods, so this season is particularly troubling. Moreso because Easter comes very late this year (apparenty Jesus is indecisive about which day to rise from the dead).

That griped, I LOVE Sweet-tart Jelly-beans.

Tsk, tsk. It's nothing to do with Jesus, Werbal. It's all about the Easter Bunny.

I just ate a whole thing of candy-beans.

I made the mistake of giving up candy for Lent.

Anyone have a flux capacitor?

I loved every jellybeans I could find until my girlfriend made me eat those Harry Potter jelly beans.

Nothing like an anchovy jellybean to turn you off for a while.

Good thing I gave up Catholicism for lent.

Boom-boom-tish.

I eat pounds of those Cadbury chocolate eggs around Easter time. Not the eggs with the ooze inside, the solid chocolate milk eggs. So good.
Easter has the best candy: Cadbury eggs, sickly-sweet Peeps and those Palmer chocolate bunnies that taste like wax. Mmmmmmm.

Nothing beats Reece's peanut butter eggs. Nothing. Yes, they taste better when they're shaped that way. I don't know why but they do. And, no, I'm not crazy, not in the least.

Respectfully disagree. Easter Cream Eggs from Cadbury are the best. They're so sweet they make my teeth hurt just thinking about them.

Marshmallow Peeps.....It's not officially Easter until I've inflated one in the microwave.

Oh, I like the goo-filled eggs also. It's just hard to eat those in any sizeable quantity.

Reese's makes a giant bunny now. The bunnies are even better than the eggs.

The eggs provide a better chocolate to peanut butter ratio. While not quite as tasty as the classic egg, the peanut butter hearts, X-mas trees, and the Giant Reece's are all better than the regular cup.

It's about time to start opening packages of Peeps so they're nice and stale by Easter.
My wife likes them (Peeps) frozen.

Good idea. I'm going to have to stop by the store on my way home from work. Four packages: one to eat fresh, one to eat frozen, one to eat stale, and one to blow up in the microwave.
I've never even heard of freezing them. I'll have to try it out.

I put down three Cadbury's creme eggs in the span of fifteen minutes on Sunday, this after having almost no chocolate for months beforehand. My easter sickness came early this year, so to speak.
I've always been partial to the little chocolate eggs with a crisp candy shell. But, it's been years since I ate lots of candy around Easter.

I'm pretty sure they come stale straight from the factory. I tried to eat one for the first time in forever a couple years ago and couldn't stomach it.

I bet true Peeps fans would kill for one of these though:

Yeesh. I can't stand the peeps. I don't like any big piece of chocolate that's solid either. The hollow chocolate bunnies? Those are my favorite.

I pretty much did eat a whole thing of candy beans yesterday.

See, that's why Harry Potter books are juvenille nonsense. Even if you had magic powers, why would you make things taste like dogshit?

Choke it down, Tubby McSugarthighs.

Hey, fatty Werbal. You inspired me to flex my art skills to draw this awesome comic about you. I think it's pretty great.

Well, then why was it wrapped in foil?

Let's not forget Girl Scout cookie season. For some reason I lose all sense of self and I eat twice my weight in Thin Mints this time each year. There's no way to resist. Either you get assaulted coming out of a grocery store or a mall, or you have no less than 10 sign-up sheets from the kids of co-workers at the office. Being a glutton has never been so easy.
Wretched little disgusting discs, those Thin Mints.
Samoas. It's all about the samoas.

And Easter is going to screw with my weight hardcore. Because my local grocery store is trying to offload their regular candy to focus on the Easter stuff, they've been selling Reese's 8 packs for $ 0.79. I have a Reese's addiction already, but this is just sick. $ 0.79 for the 8 pack, people! This is better than crack!

The Reese's eggs taste better than the cups. For real. The shape makes them better.
I agree with you whole-heartedly, Werbal, but that doesn't negate the fact that $0.79 is so cheap for an addict.

PS- Your sig makes me cry inside.

I was going to say I can take or leave chocolate but then I saw an ad for Nestle Crunch Eggs & started drooling. Gotta get me some of those. After I wipe the drool off my chin.
