Who did YOU kill to get a copy? Everyone's telling me Friday's the day in T.O. Well...EB. Maybe I'll just go to Walmart later and then go to EB for Oblivion and my trade in stuffs.

Great time last night, the multi-maps are awesome (and freakin' huge!), loved that beach assault level. Not sure who it was (probably Dave, he ate many of my grenades) who was using a bus as cover, but launching a nade and seeing the bus explode and a dead body go flying out from behind it was the shit.

Chris, sorry man, your server kept kicking me off and it was getting late, had to give it up.

Is there an easier way of me finding you guys than just sitting around waiting for an invite?

REALLY enjoyed the Co-op Multiplayer.

The difficulty was pretty high for us being first-timers, and the three of us had a pretty hard time trying to get anywhere. With the one death rule, there was a definite sense of dread running into situations where you don't know where the enemy is. But the sense of teamwork really pays off.

The solo elimination (deathmatch) was fun, but there was no scoreboard, and also no way to tell who and how many people were playing. I started with four, and then I think OtisTC and another got kicked out, but there was no way for me to tell. If I wasn't playing split screen with someone else, would I have never known I was by myself? (Maybe I'm just missing it, but start and select/back didn't show a scoreboard.)

Some of the maps are friggin huge. Once the lobbies start jumpin', they should provide a lot of space for 16 people. I think we'll get a lot of LIVE Multiplayer action.

Yeah, that was me. Just after I sent a 'nade your way and killed my own teammate. It's ok. I sent my squad to hunt you down later. My eyes were always watching you...MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Alright, I guess now I have to buy this goddamn game. This is turning into an expensive week (Harry Potter & Miyazaki DVDs on Tuesday, and I was going to pick up Fight Night already this week...I may pass on that for GR for now.)

You killed me at least 5 times as well during that game...a few grenades to the brain will do that. Awesome stuff.

I'll be on later tonight I'm sure, so if anyone's up for some more co-op, let's do it.

Eyeball, you'll like it. It has indeed been an expensive week, with Fight Night, Burnout and Ghost Recon all sitting at my house. But hey...fuck it.
I guess I'll be picking this up on Friday evening. Gamer Tag : GigoloJoe1973

I'm on vacation next week and other than some yard projects and a baseball game, I'll be able to spend sometime to get past the learning curve pretty quick.
Wow, the game sounds like a blast. I just got GRAW in today. I don't get off of work till 10pm tonight so I'll be online sometime after 1:00a.m. central time. I wanna go thru the training and do at least one mission so I can get a feel for the game. If anyone is still up playing tonight I'll be on till about 3:30am so hit me up. Gamertag: DarkoXII

OK. During commercial breaks for Earl and the Office I'll add the tags I haven't already. I'm thinking maybe we can get some people together around 10-11(CST)? That would be cool.
For the past week I've been getting online after 1:00 am due to the fact my girlfriend recently had some gullstones removed so for the moment I'm playing Mr.Mom with my son. He usually knocks out around midnight so I'm won't be disturbed while playing online around that time. There is nothing worse than having to put your controller down during an online match.
4 EBs, 1 Best Buy and 1 FutureShop and I finally got this game.

Fuck yeah!
My girlfriend did me the favour of picking this up, and kicked my ass around the room when I got home. Apparantly it's selling like hot cakes, and a fucker to find.
Simply floored. Haven't left my room in two days. Multiplayer is enthralling. One of the most immersive gaming experiences I've ever had. Fucking brilliant. Now I know why I bought a 360.
Played through the training mission and halfway (I think) through the first mission.

Kinda getting it pretty easy I just gotta remember to change my rate of fire when I get into tense situations. I really dig that basball slide right into a crouch though.

And the framerate....outstanding. That's what kidna kept me from playing through the previous games. They seemed a bit choppy to me.
Played through several missions last night, I'm up to the first one that takes place at night. I love this freakin' game! Sending in a drone to reconnoiter an area, planning a route in, sniping a marksman while prone under a truck, squad laying down great covering fire while you flank the enemy's position, the fantastic visuals... just great stuff.

I'll probably be up for some multiplayer tonight, but I always have people over on the weekends, so it's hard to commit. Plus there's the Battlestar Galactica finale at 11:00 eastern. But if you see me on, please invite me. I'll try not to get any teammates killed...
I stayed up till 4 am playing the game. Didn't get to try the online modes though. I made it to the second mission where you're gunning terrorist from the Black Hawk. Simply awesome, although I did experience a glitch during the first mission. While I was making my way to the railroad one of my teammates had got stuck running in place underneath the highway. He then started floating in the air. It was bothering me too much so I just started the mission over again.

Ok, so, everyone's got it now, RIGHT? It's friday, so I'll be up late/early. Hopefully we can get some good co-op going. Also, it appears as if you can't join games in progress. I'd suggest sending a message to someone playing if you'd like to join, and we can drop out or let you know how much time is left. Kinda a sucky feature, isn't it?
Please tell me that GRAW allows to bring Guests on Live for some splitscreen action. Please.
Care to get our asses handed to us by a bunch of Dames? The Frag Dolls are playing.

Edit: Kudos to whomever turned the one month free XBL Trial into a mere 48 hours. Stinkin' kids on Halo 2 abusing the privilege.
I just got this game yesterday, but i haven't been able to get online with it, I was up till 9 a.m. playing Burnout online. I played through the first 2 missions. I don't get home from work until 3 a.m. Eastern time, so if anyone is on then add me to your friends list and I'll see if I can pull myself away from burnout long enough to play this.

My gamertag is Skeletonframes

I get off of work at 11pm tonight so when I get off I'll send a friend request to you mediumdave.
has anyone else noticed that the reflections in the windows are all the same street. Not a big deal, but in a game this realistic it kind of takes you out of it.
Yeah, I've noticed too but I just shoot the windows out. That makes the bad car windows go away.
I've never had this much fun shooting the shit out of parked vehicles.

So far, we've had no trouble bringing in guests to play.

And you're right: thank you MS for the 48 hours, instead of the 2 month trial.

Again, I kept getting kicked out last night, and I am wondering, did anyone else know I was gone? No scoreboard/status to tell whose in, out, or who is a corpse lying in the street. The one game we played had people dead for a good 5 minutes, and the guys still playing had no idea. That's one minor gripe (unless someone found the player status screen?)

So waded my way through two missions and decided to try multi-player. Man, this game has only been out a few days and already people know the maps. I literally would get killed, respawn, take one step (or not) and get killed again. How fair is that to stake out the spawning areas? Assholes. This didn't just happen once or twice either. Ever stupid game I joined. Most irritating experience on LIVE so far.

Guess you've never played Halo, huh?
There was definitely a learning curve with Halo but nowhere as bad as the matches I was playing earlier. I got the impression people were staking out the spawning areas just so they could get 30 kills and advance on the scoreboard. Lazy bastards. Luckily, I found some more evenly matched people and had a little fun.
I've been sucked into the multi since beating the single player. Send me invites for co-op or random killing! Gamertag - Tosshi

Yep, that's why I stick to co-op. As I said above, I'm not a big fan of death match anyways...shit like this only adds fuel to the fire.
The respawn points in CTF and Team Elimination are fucking awful. You kill someone by their flag, you grab flag, person respawns, kills you. Repeat over and over. Fucking annoying. Game's still amazing, though. I just hope they address some of these things down the line with a patch or something.

After having played GRAW for days straight, I tried to play Call of Duty again. Talk about miserable online play. That game's in serious need of an update.
So, does CHUD have a pretty good group of people that play co-op? I'm a newbie, but I'd love to get in on it sometime. My gamertag is WadeGarrett4eva.

Something I hadn't seen before, something I did on accident, was click the stick once and then let go, which put my character into a kind of baseball slide with the weapon pointed forward. I think it gives you the option to crouch quickly, I mean, I think that's the game purpose - but I'd never seen anything like it. Jumping or sliding behind cover makes you feel like Pimp Supreme.
I did that all the way through my training mission...and parts of the first. Too much fun.
Shot down my first drone in team elimination, it was funny because my team had no idea what I was doing when I pointed my gun at the sky and unloaded a few clips.

Anyone else notice that on the dashboard it says G.R.A.W. for everyone except Gigolo? His has Ghost Recon spelled out. Pretty sure that's grounds to shoot him in the face.
Sucks to be him. GRAW is waaaaaaaaay cooler looking. Plus, it just sounds awesome.

I tend to shout it out when killing AI people.

That's because I'm special. Also because anacronyms suck. but most likely because I'm not playing on a 360..
For shame!

I guess you're not really playing it all then.

Evil. I've been waiting for Oblivion to come out (and to see how it plays on the 360) before dropping the change. Just didn't see any reason to drop the money when none of the opening games appealed to me. Oblivion would do the trick.

Which, by the way, Ghost Recon doesn't look bad on the XBox (well the LIVE portion looks cheap).
Hell yes! I am loving this game. In fact, it's convinced me to renew my Gold membership, so if anyone feels like some easy target practice, my gamertag is: Kontrol Phreak.

I hate that name, but I'm too cheap to pay to change it.
My $400 Geometrywarsbox finally justifies its purchase. What a sweet game.

Multiplayer tonight?

Damn. I would've liked to play last night, but single and multi were pissing me off so I went to play Guitar Hero. Perhaps tonight we can get some co-op action going on, peoples?
I'm up for some co-op tonight, for sure. I'll be available around 9 eastern.
CoD2 multi sucks, but at least you know if you have been in a good game for awhile it's most likely going to stay that way. I got kicked from 3 games last night, all where I was in the lead, all lag free and all after playing for over ten minutes, that's shit. I'm also getting sick of being in 16 player games and having 3/4 of them get the boot with NO WAY to tell that it's just me and two other guys running around a giant map.

I'll try and be on tonight but I'm probably going to be busy, rest of the week around 10/11 central I should be available.
I was going to play last night, but couldn't tear myself away from Fight Night. I'll keep an eye out tonight, but keep in mind that I've only played through to the first helicopter gun sequence in single player, and have played no multiplayer whatsover as of yet.
Ditto. I'm up for some shooting tonight too. Also, anytime after 9 pm EST.
I'd like to play tonite (esp since I have to test the reg Xbox version for review) but circumstances will probably prevent it.

In any case, those who haven't added me (rfischer) are welcome to do so.
So, I'm on LIVE playing Advanced Warfighter with some punks who are hanging out at the spawning areas and I get a game invite from mediumdave. I accept the invite, and I get a message that I need to insert the disc for GRAW. The.....game.....I.....am.....currently.....playin g. Otis also sends me an invite. Again, the message that I need to insert the disc for GRAW. How bizarre.

Yeah, we think we figured it out. We're playing the 360 version and you're playing the Xbox version. Sorry. We kinda felt like dicks after realizing it. You know, taunting you with our "next" generation e-wangs and all.
Yeah, I spent a little time researching it last night. Ubisoft are the real dicks here. Design a first generation game on the new system BUT instead of making the same game compatible on both systems they make two different versions. I wonder who's bright idea was that? Lets make a game that will come out just after the launch window of a new system when most of the XBox users will still have the old system. When they upgrade their system, those same people who bought the game for the old system will have to buy a new game in order for them to play with their friends on the new system. Dicks.
game just kicked my ass again and again. but I finished it.

only a few things bugged me. mainly, why does the jamming device completely interfere with my guy's ability to see? Why can't the guy disconnect the fancy headgear and use his plain old non-cybernetic eyes. Switching to nightvision kinda, but didn't help out much. Most times in the two missions I had to memorize where the damn bastards would be gunning me from. The only other gripe would be the laughable music in the helicopter. Good to know our nations finest listen exclusively to EA Trax when they're taking names. Game only bugged out once on me - my guy would not animate after leaving cover - it fixed itself when I reached the next waypoint.

Played a few rounds of the co-op campaign with a friend from canada. Had some decent fun there. Will be tackling that next. Don't know if I have the patience to trudge through the Hard difficulty setting without smashing my controller violently.
