Places to find Disney DVDs...?

I need to find a bunch of animated Disney DVDs within the next month for a gift. Beauty & the Beast, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Dumbo, Robin Hood, Fox & the Hound, Little Mermaid, etc. Everything except the Pixars, Lion King and Aladdin, basically. I'd prefer new, but since Disney keeps yanking their most popular titles off the market, I'm willing to settle for used, as long as they're in good condition.

Anybody have any suggestions for finding these bastards? Deepdiscountdvd doesn't stock most of them, and everything on Ebay seems to be a bootleg from Taiwan. Or does anybody have any Disney titles that you're looking to unload?

I'm sure you've probably already checked, but just in case you've relegated your shopping to strictly online, I'm pretty sure the local Best Buy would still have some (if not all) of those in stock. I checked Amazon and the sell-through people have new ones but they're like $45 (or more).

Have you checked regular stores yet? I was at Target last night and I swear they had a few of those still on the shelf.

Start hitting every used dvd store and pawn shop in your area. You'll find them, you'll just have to put in some leg work. Most used places check the discs when they get them, so you shouldn't have to worry too much.

Yeah, I checked Best Buy, but they only had the most recent, still-in-circulation releases.

You might try www.wherehouse.com. They have used DVD/CDs for decent prices and in very good condition (at least the half dozen or so DVDs I've gotten from them have been in nice condition.) I'm not sure about the availability of the DVDs you're looking for since families either don't tend to give up their Disney classics, or they used and abuse them so much they're not worth picking up second-hand.

It's beyond ridiculous that you have to scour the Earth for copies of the classics, yet you can walk into any Best Buy and find 500 copies of direct-to-DVD garbage like "Cinderella 2: Dreams Come True." Fuck Disney.
