Go RED BULL!

Red Bull buys Metrostars.

This feels very wrong. They aren't even the Red Bull Metrostars. Is this the first time a profesisonal sports tem has had their name changed just to a brand? Are we steps away from THE MIAMI BLOCKBUSTER VIDEO?

Looks like I got beaten to the punch on both the Mighty Ducks and NASCAR as a whole, but it looks like we might be getting closer to international sports franchises, more than anything. These could be like McDonald's, with the same company having franchises with the same name all over the world:

Also Redbull has bought 2 formula 1 teams, one called Red Bull Racing, the other called Scuderia Toro Rosso (which is Italian for Red Bull Team I think).

But the Red Bull Salzburg team was a bit of a nasty precedent in soccer, when they took over the team, they dismissed the teams history and traditions, announcing that it was a brand new team, and their first match as red bull salzburg, was the first match the club ever played.

"Metrostars" was a silly name. "Red Bulls" isn't too bad. They should try putting a good team on the field. They stink.

Red Bull New York is silly. I hate the name to a degree where I won't even cheer for them anymore. I don't care if its illogical, I hate the name that much.
