WINGS on DVD!

Finally.

I don't know if it was the thousands of on-line signatures which were collected and supposedly sent to the powers that be or the numerous legal issues (probably the latter), but WINGS, one of the more harmless, fun and easy to watch sitcoms is finally seeing a release on DVD.

WINGS is one of those rare shows which I can watch and get a good laugh every time. It doesn't ask for much in return.

Seasons 1 and 2. Even better.

Excellent, it's easily one of my favorite sitcoms of the early 90s.

Over the long haul, this wasn't a series that got me really excited, but I always watching it. I think OhioJones' description pretty much sums it up. The cast was what made it work. I always hoped Tony Shalhoub and Thomas Hayden Church would go somewhere, so it's nice to see something work out for once.

To be honest, I didn't expect anything out of Thomas Hayden Church. Didn't seem like he showed much range with the way they wrote his character.

I don't know. I realize that the character in and of itself was just the basic sitcom dumb-guy, but it always felt like he was bringing more to the character than that. Of course, that's easy to say now, isn't it?

I wish Roy could have had as much post-"Wings" success as some of the other cast members. What a great fat jerk.

I watch this show every day on USA when I worked second shift. It was a lot better then people give it credit for.
