Ebay Disputes

Anyone ever filed one of these before? I haven't received stuff I bought, and I've sent a few emails but nada. I just wanted to see folks feedback and seeing if I'll actually get any kind of settlement if I do this.

I did one time, but right after I sent it, like the same day the seller contacted me and told me that they were out of town abd couldn't get to it. I don't know if it was BS or not, but I retracted my complaint and I got my crap right away.

I know that's probably no help, but that's the only thing that has happened to me.

I've recently had to file one at Half.com (an extension of eBay), because a textbook I ordered was never shipped, and after nearly a month of being patient, it still hadn't arrived. After trying twice to contact the seller and recieving no response, I filed a claim with eBay, but the sheet said that getting a claim sorted out could take up to 60 days. I went ahead and bought the book from a different source, and I still haven't heard from the original seller, or from eBay, for that matter (it's only been about 28 days though, so their time limit isn't up yet).

I bought an n64 for about £25 from ebay but never recived it. Went through the disputes thing and found out Ebay charge something like £15 to actually get your money back. The guy ended up getting band as he had pulled a simmliar scam with loads of othe people. Still lost out on £15 though.

I've done it a couple of times, each time I've gotten my money back.
I actually got 500 back for an XBOX 360 I never recieved. This was in December.

I've had a couple. I had one guy that won an auction from me, but he wanted me to ship to Mexico, after I had posted that I would only ship in the US. Plus, his recommendation rating was a -2.

Also had another guy that won an auction, and then didn't pay me for 3 weeks. I got my ebay listing money refunded, and re-listed the auction and actually sold it for a higher price this time. It's tedious red-tape stuff to go through, but I've never had a problem doing it. The guy that didn't pay e-mailed me twice, then when I said I'm re-listing the auction, he didn't care. But he did care when I reported him to ebay, as he thought that me re-listing the item meant he was free and clear.

The only issue I had with an ebay auction that I didn't report was when I bought an animation cel from this online "company" through ebay. I paid the guy, and after I badgered him for 2 weeks, he finally sent the package. I got the cel, and it looked nice and framed, but there was no certificate of authenticity with it. So I e-mailed him back and asked for that part. He sent me a freakin' Word document basically saying, "My company is ____________ and we certify that this cel ____________ is authentic." On top of that, he didn't even spell the cel title correctly! The COA is supposed to come from the cel manufacturer, in this case Warner Bros. But, I just chalk it up to, if I ever sell that one, there's no COA to go with it.

I once had a huge problem with a seller. I thought I got a great deal but weeks after payment I had nothing to show for myself. I sent so many emails demanding to know what happened to my item. I finally threatened to file a claim with Ebay and that convinced the seller to make due on the transaction.

It was a hassle but it was worth it to finally get my signed photo of Vicki Lawrence from "Mama's Family."

That photo is from the episode where she performs her famous Sgt. Apone impersonation- "Look into my eye!"

It's actually from the one where Vinton burned a cross on a new neighbor's lawn. Mama was so upset!

One of my buddies had trouble one time with a large xbox controller. It was never sent and he could not make a dispute since the price was under $30. So he just got screwed out of $30 bucks.

I had a problem with a seller and an Xbox game I ordered. I watched in horror as over the weeks I was waiting for the game the seller's feedback went from 98% to something like 80%(and he had a LOT of feedbacks, I'm talking thousands). So he scammed an assload of people at the last moment I guess. He would reply to my emails too, so I guess he was trying to get people to hold out on their neg. feedbacks as long as possible. Then his feedback went "private" or whatever, then one day it said he was no longer a register seller. I was pissed.
In the end though it worked out okay. I used Paypal, filed a complaint, had to wait a few weeks, and they refunded me. I was better off for waiting anyway, because I found the game for 15 bucks less at Best Buy a month later.

What I hate is when people make their feedback private. It really shouldn't be allowed in my opinion. I guess I can understand privacy or what have you in some cases, but still.

You are really creepy and fake.

Sir, I came to share an experience I had with Ebay. I'm sorry if my intense love of "Mama's Family" memorabilia doesn't fit in with your conservative standards of normal sexual behavior.

You brought sex into it, not me.

Sorry you were outbid. Let it go honkey.

See, this is my issue. I start a real thread asking real questions because I've been seemingly fucked over by someone, and amongst the real answers, I get bullshit attempts at humour which fuck over the thread - even though I have Moltisanti on ignore, which proves once and for all, that shit don't work.

Alright already. I'll keep my "Mama's Family" related Ebay grievances to myself. I knew it was too much of a powder keg to bring up here.

Be honest though, can you truly say that you've never done the same?

Yeah, I've done it before, but never so consistently.
